Scaredy Cats

Jasper and Leah crack me up! They act all tough until the vacuum cleaner comes on and than they are total scaredy cats! They run up the stairs and watch from the safety of the landing while Bella barks her head off and attacks the vacuum cleaner. These pictures show them perfectly during vacuum time.

Ryan Won A Bike!

Ryan won a bike at school! I picked it up today on my way home from work. He and his dad put it together tonight. Ryan took the bike outside for a ride. Ed looked up and said, "Did he just leave barefoot?" Ty laughs and says, "Um Mom taught us how to ride a bike barefoot!" I laughed at the memory. Yep, they learned island style on Okinawa. No shoes, no helmet.....Ed was in Iraq and Leilani and i taught them how to ride without training wheels. They did great and had no crashes or injuries and survived!!! Sure enough Ryan came back in barefoot!

Smile Bella

Victoria has been missing her sweet Bella. I thought i would take a couple pictures of her to send to Vicki. Bella didn't quite understand the definition of smile, or maybe this IS how she smiles! I'll never know....

Desert Baseball

We headed out to catch a baseball game tonight, the Desert Mavericks. It was a bit windy and chilly but we had a great time! Ryan was picked to do a golf game in between innings and won free tickets for another game. Taylor was selected to race the bases. It was a really fun night. The mascot totally photo bombed us! Best picture of the night! The Mavericks won. Perfect night in the desert! AND i had a super yummy hot dog!!!

Disney Trivia Night

Tonight for mutual the YW were in charge. Kamryn decided to take charge of the activity. She did a fun Disney Trivia game night. Everyone had a great time! Teams were awarded extra points if they wore anything Disney. Loved wearing my ears tonight!

Love The Ford

I love all the horses but Ford has been my favorite from day one. His bangs caught my attention and he has always been so sweet and affectionate. Sometimes too affectionate! He likes to chew on my hair and clothes! But he is my total buddy and i just adore him!

Angels Rangers Game

I am a Yankees/Boston fan, which Mr. Baseball, Ed, says is impossible, Ed is a Tigers fan, and Ty is an Angels fan. Ed and i have adopted the Angels while we are stationed down here in southern California and enjoy going to a few games every season. Our friends are from Texas and are obviously Ranger fans.  We thought it would be fun to hit a Angels/Rangers game this season. Tonight is the night that worked with all of our schedules.  It was hilarious with those three in their Rangers gear and us three in our Angels wear. We joked with people on how we had come as their protection.  The Angles won last night so our friends took a lot of fun teasing in their Texas apparel.....We arrived in Anaheim a few hours ahead of game time so we walked around Downtown Disney for a little bit.  Jennifer still has her foot in a cast so she had her little scooter to zip around in. It was hilarious!!! We headed over to the stadium about an hour before game time. Tonight they were giving away blankets. Perfect night for those, it was just a bit chilly!!!  It looked like there might be rain so i got us seats under the overhang. Thank goodness, because it did rain for a bit! No game delay though, yay!!!! The game got off to a rough start and the Angels never really pulled it together, so sadly they lost and now the series is tied 1-1. Boy was it a LONG game! We got home around 1;15. I think i am getting toooooooo old for these nights games, well atleast when it is a 2 hour drive home!!! But fun night with friends and Jennifer got to honk her pink horn a LOT!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha

We Are Not Off To A Baseball Game

We are off to the Angels/Rangers game tonight at Anaheim Stadium. I picked up Ty, Ryan, and Taylor early from school on my way home from work so we could get on the road for tonight's game. I work for the school district so the principal, assistant principal, secretary, etc know me. I'm in Angels clothes, Taylor comes in wearing all Rangers gear, Ty in Angels gear.......as we are walking out i say, "we are all off to doctors appointments, not tonight's Angels/Rangers game....' They all started cracking up saying have fun at those Dr's appointments, go Angles!!! Hahahahahahahaha

Rookie Scare

Ed and i were in Victorville when he got a call from MCLBPD saying one of the horses was down and not getting up after they watched him for awhile and hit the horn a few times. We zipped straight home to check on the horses since everyone else with stable access was gone for the day. Was sooo relieved to see Rookie standing up and doing fine!!! Man, these horses stress me out!!! Rookie was born in 1997 and captured Oct 21, 1999. He is getting up there in years and his joints are not doing so well so it is taking him longer to get up these days. Poor guy.....love these guys, but like all animals, hate to see them grow old.

Ed Is NOT A Rangers Fan!

We came home to Ed's jeep looking like this.....silly friends having fun!

The High Roller

I added another wheel to the books today, this time the highest ferris wheel in the world! Poor Ty, facing his fear again!!! He did great though and it was a really fun ride! It took 30 minutes to go all the way around and the highest point was 550 feet. There were beautiful views. I saw what pools were the best on the strip and had no idea there was a gold course tucked away right there behind the strip!!!

Updated My Pink Flamingo Visuals

I've always wanted to go into The Pink Flamingo. It seems like every tv show i watched in the 70's/80's when a main character had to go after a bad guy in Vegas it always seemed to be at The Pink Flamingo. I have now updated all my 70's visuals to 2016!

Sprinkles In Vegas

Had no idea there was a Sprinkles in Vegas!!!  Sadly it is probably just as far from our house to Vegas as it is from our house to the Sprinkles in Beverly Hills!

Last Freemont Street Experience

After we got back to our hotel we decided to go walk around Freemont Street for awhile. Ty and Ryan wanted to stay in the room, which I'm glad they did!!! The bands tonight on all three stages were blah and it was just filth out on the street tonight.  Must be tough times here in Vegas, nobody can afford clothes!!!  The general attire was a g-string, stickers on nipples, and shoes were optional. It's a sad day when the chicks walking around in little sparkly bikinis actually look classy compared to what was walking the streets! Even guys were running around in g-strings. Total gross! We said goodbye to the Freemont Street Experience and headed back to our hotel. We decided to sit by the fire poolside. The shark tank was all lit up and it was just a beautiful view. We found where they sold the shark cups i had been looking for so i bought one and a yummy pina colada!  The boys called after we had been there about an hour and wanted to join us. Claim Jumpers is in our hotel so we decided to grab a late night snack. You definitely know you are on vacation when you are at Claim Jumpers at 11 pm eating wings and desserts!!!

MGM Fun

Just a few pictures walking around the MGM Grand Hotel.....

Picking a Dinner Buffet Is Harder Than You Can Imagine

We decided to do a dinner buffet for dinner but decided we didn't want to eat at our hotel where we had had the breakfast buffet. We headed down to the main strip and i was looking up the buffets at all the main casinos and reading the reviews at the same time. All the reviews on EVERY single buffet said they were HORRIBLE!!! Soooooo, after all the boys getting all upset about how long it was taking to find a place (hungry boys are scary) and than realizing nobody even wanted to eat at a buffet we ended up at Subway in the MGM Grand Hotel. Wow! Literally like 1 1/2 hours of driving around looking for a buffet (with hungry boys) and nobody even wanted to eat at one!!!  Hahahahahahahaha!!! Ed was pretty ticked.....i still think he wanted a buffet but just isn't admitting it! Hahahahahaha!

Ty Faces His shark Fear For $20!

Today is much warmer and the pool was amazing! Ty decided he would go down the water slide, but not until he had sealed the deal with a $20 cash payment!!! We all had fun going down the slide, but Ty literally just did the two times he was obligated to do. He mumbled something about not wanting to be on the slide if an earthquake hit! He just sat in one of the lounge chairs in the sun while we swam and did the slide. Later the rest of the boys joined him and i went and sat in the wonderful jacuzzi for awhile. Ty and Ryan went up to the room and Ed and i sat poolside and just relaxed, it felt WONDERFUL!!!

Tourist Photo Fun

We were having fun waiting for the elevator before we headed down to the pool.....just some fun vacation photos while waiting for the elevator!

"What floor?" 13 Please

Ty said next time someone asks him 'what floor?' when we get in the elevator he is going to look at them all serious and say, "13." Hahahahahahahahaha, yep no 13th floor in this elevator!

Paris, Las Vegas

Ryan is taking French this year, and actually likes it and is doing really well so we definitely wanted to hit Paris with him. We had fun walking around and than bought our tickets to ride the elevator up to the top of the Eiffel tower. Ty was not happy about how high it went but was a good sport. We had an awesome guy who gave us all kinds of facts. He's been on all kinds of news shows due to his photographic memory and being able to remember EVERYTHING!!! We learned something we did not know about the MGM Grand. Several years ago you entered the hotel/casino by walking thru the mouth of the giant gold lion. after walking thru the mouth you followed the yellow brick road and you were greeted by the characters from the Wizard of Oz, even the flying monkeys! But soon the hotel realized they weren't getting any Chinese customers and discovered because it was considered bad luck to walk thru the lions mouth. Money won over and there was no longer an entrance thru a lions mouth! Did not know that!!! The elevator ride up was fast and we went really high!!! I actually felt slightly dizzy!!! Stepping out of the elevator at the top is quite windy and definitely colder than it was street level!!!  The top was completely enclosed like a giant bird cage, so totally safe! ty did really good for being that high up.  It was fun to look out over Vegas. They had given us this Ipad to use that showed on the screen what you would have seen if you were actually at the top of the REAL Eiffel Tower looking down. Really fun to see where all the French landmarks were as we looked out over Vegas, it gave you a faint feeling like you were really in France looking out when you looked at the ipad.

Ryan Joined The Shoe Print Rage

After walking thru several parking garages we noticed all these footprints on the ceiling.....i guess the new parking garage rage is to take off your shoe and smack the ceiling.  Ryan decided he wanted to make his mark, and he did!

Freemont Street Night One

We decided to go to Freemont Street after Rock of Ages. Our hotel is right at Freemont Street so we drove back thinking we would just park at our hotel and walk out to Freemont Street. The casino at our hotel goes right out to the main part of the street. Sadly, right before the turn to our hotel their was a sign up that the street was closed. We decided to park in the garage rght there at the road closed side and just walk around until the road opens again or just get the car in the morning. It was literally just around the corner. We started walking around and Ryan was getting tired and not feeling to good, so he went back to our hotel. Ed and Ty walked him back to the room and i stayed over by the stage and just watched the light show above while the band took a break. Ed and Ty got back right when the band was starting to play again. It was an 80's band so the music was GREAT!!!! Later Ty got tired and so Ed walked him back to our room and came back. We listened to the band until around 11;30 and than we decided to call it a night. The freaks were really starting to surface so it was time to go. It is sad to see how far society has slipped into the depths of complete yuck!!! But we had fun singing along with the band as they played some of our favorite songs!!! When we got back to our room Ryan was sound asleep buried under the covers and Ty had made a bed between the two chairs. I don't think he will last there all night!!! It felt good to lay down and go to sleep!!!

Rock of Ages

We have always heard that the Rock of Ages show is awesome. I zipped in to Rio to buy tickets and check to see what the age appropriate was. I was told 5 and up and with our military discount i got great symphony seats for the worst seat prices. We had dinner and than headed over to Rio to walk around while we waited for our show. We got in line and went in to our seats, they were REALLY good!!!!! The show started and the band was REALLY good, the music and singing was also REALLY good but man, they had some ridiculous stuff in that show! Sadly society thought 5 and older was fine, but not to me!!!! Ugh!!!  So glad Ty and Ryan just closed their eyes when some of the girls were dancing. What REALLY upsets me is it could have been a TOTALLY awesome show!!!  The junk was not even remotely necessary!!! We had this guy in front of us who had to keep raising his hand reaching for the stage, standing and could never hold still so i gave up trying to watch the show and just listened to it. Drunk people are beyond annoying!!!!  It was a costly disappointment.....should have seen Jersey Boys!!! But loved the music!!!

Swimming With The Sharks

The pool was our first stop here in Vegas. We changed into our suits and we were off to go swim and slide with the sharks!!! It was TOTALLY awesome to be in the pool with the sharks swimming right there next to you. The slide was SUPER fast and soooo amazing going thru the tank!!! There were sharks swimming next to me and over me while i zipped down the slide thru the shark tank! Ed and Ryan liked it too but Ty decided to just sit in a chair at the pool!!!  His two big fears are heights and sharks......poor guy, we have plans with both this vacation!!!

Our Home Away From Home

Vacation is off to a good start! Our room was ready early so we were able to check in early!!!  Our room is VERY similar to the room we had at Monte Carlo in November for the Ball.  Ty and Ryan are NOT happy about sharing a bed....but they will survive!!! Our tower is a non smoking tower so that is nice since Vegas is a smoking chimney once you leave your room!!! Bags are in and we are ready to go play!
