Cleaning the kids bathroom because they are outside
playing....both boys come inside and offer to clean the bathroom for me....red
flags in Mommy brain flying like crazy, they have NEVER asked to take over in
the bathroom and Ty is scooting me away from the toilet to start cleaning it,
Ryan starts on the sink....door bell rings...I tell Ry to go get it because it
is likely one of their friends…Ty is deeply focused on cleaning the toilet…Ryan
tells me the door is for me. Odd, my
only friend is an ocean and a couple of countries away…..it’s one of our
neighbors informing me that someone, and he doesn’t know who, was golfing from
my yard with rocks and one hit his truck but not anywhere where it mattered but
I might want to check with my boys because whoever it was has a really good
swing and next time it might be a window.
I told him Ty had just come in and took over cleaning the bathroom and I
was just starting to clean the toilet and so I knew something was up!!! He
laughed, he’s a really nice guy. I went back to the now almost spotless
bathroom and asked Ty if he thought cleaning the bathroom would clean the past?
He mumbled no and we had a little chit chat on how he knows where he is allowed
to practice and why his brain would even consider taking rocks out of her
landscape that we paid for and launch them towards people’s houses etc….!!! He
went and talked to the person whose truck he hit and surrendered all his
electronics to me. Ryan surrendered all his to me as well since as he said, “I
was with him…” Gotta love boys, but man they can drive me crazy!!! Soooo, they have their bows and their guns in
the back yard and are waiting for some birds to land in the yard…..
Just a peak into my life as i travel the world, try new things, and enjoy this incredible journey called life!

Who Else Is Brushing Their Teeth Here?!
My conquest today was to find out why there are 7 toothbrushes in the kids bathroom! Last a i checked i only had three kids left at home....hmmmmm......I kept asking the kids to throw away the toothbrushes that weren't theirs. This seemed to be an impossible task for children that seem somewhat smart atleast one day a week! I finally had all the kids home at the same time and had them each claim THEIR toothbrush! Mission Accomplished! The beach bucket is back down to three tooth brushes! I will sleep better tonight!

My Little Karate Kids
I love capturing these two when they have no idea i have been watching them! They are usually tangled up with each other, but this time i actually caught them in a shot where they are not karate chopping each other! I should have videoed them doing all these slow motion moves on the docks, but here is one of my favorite pictures i captured of these two....spring 2011

4th of July 2009
As usual, i bought everyone their 4th of July shirts. On the morning of the 4th everyone but Jorden comes to breakfast wearing their shirts. I tell Jorden to go put on his flag shirt. He laughs and says he will for the picture. I tell him i don't know if there will be a "picture" but to wear it because of the DAY!!!! He grumbles and puts it on over his shirt that he wanted to wear. Late, late in the afternoon i decide to do a family picture at the park we had been at all day. I figure we should take a family pix of our first 4th of July stateside and who knows where Jorden will be next year....Jorden still keeps his shirt on even after the "picture" A little bit later (there had been some feuding between Vicki & Rebekah against Wade, what sibblings aren't feuding?) So, soda ends up in a squirt gun, soda is shot all over Vicki's white shirt, that now has root beer spots, and she is sticky and complaining. Jorden, the nice, kind, big brother that he is....hahahahahaha...whips off his flag shirt and tells Vicki she can wear his nice clean blue one, which she does, and now Jorden is happily wearing the shirt he put on this morning!

Ryan's Humor
Ryan is probably our most humorous child, well, in a verbal sort of way....he can come up with the funniest things to say. They are usually just quick little liners. Ryan was at the Barber Shop with Ed the other day and he just out of the blue, blurts out, for all to hear of course, "who are these parents and why are they calling me Ryan?" Ed thought it sounded somewhat familiar and than realized Ryan had taken one of my favorite lines and just reworded it! By my front door i have hanging a sign that reads, "Who are these kids, and why are they calling me Mom?" It is one of my favorite lines and we just cracked up how Ryan had taken it to work for him. Glad to know he is reading!!! Ha!

You Don't Talk Girl Dad!
We were at the dinner table having our normal evening conversations just a talkin’ back and forth. Ed leans over to Vicki and I and says, “What are you guys saying?” Ryan is drinking his milkshake and nonchalantly says, “you don’t talk girl Dad, but Mom does.” We started just rolling with laughter! Apparently if you speak “girl” you talk really fast and talk about a whole bunch of things at the same time. You also never finish the conversation because the other girl already knows how it ends. You must also use lots of adjectives to explain everything and go on and on with other things.
