The Boys Say It Is Tucked Away

I was up really late Saturday night and so i saw the news alert about the Malaysia flight going down and was really sad thinking about how the next day the news would be covering all of those that had lost loved ones and how the Boeing 777 went down; that is one of the top of the notch planes to fly in! When i went to bed a tiny part of me wondered if maybe there had been something else involved other than mechanical. Sunday morning i definitely leaned towards it was NOT mechanical at all.....tonight at the dinner table it was interesting listening to Ty and Ryan. They said the same things that had been on my mind since yesterday! They think someone took the plane and landed it somewhere to be used for something much deadlier in the near future......I know it may sound not right, but i am hopeful that it is found somewhere in the ocean, but everything seems to be pointing to terrorists.....   

Soy Sauce, Chocolate Chip Chicken, Leaf Raking

Tonight the kids were just extra funny!!!  I called everyone to dinner. Ty asked what was for dinner and i told him orange chicken and rice. He jumped out of his chair yelling, "Soy Sauce!!!" But in this totally funny Asian accent.  I still can't believe i took a picture that fast of him yelling this over and over again!!!

Somehow the Santa Cookie plate ended up at someones place setting....

Ty couldn't wait to put soy sauce on his rice!!!

Somehow a tin of cookies got passed around the table during dinner....Ty

looked at the tin of cookies and asked, "Is this chicken with chocolate

chips?" We all busted out laughing and said YES!!! It was hilarious!!

After dinner Ryan decided he wanted to dive into a pile of leaves and so he began raking leaves.  I was teasing him about making sure he didn't rake any dog poo into his leaves and he reassured me he was being extra cautious on dog poo!!!

When Ryan wasn't looking Ty his one of his guns in the pile as he was teasing his Dad while Ryan was raking and he wanted to be prepared when his Dad finally chased him down....

Ryan finally got tired of Ty bothering his leaf pile.....Ty might be chased down by everyone tonight!! He might want to break out a bottle of his "Soy Sauce!!!"

Dinner Table Conversations

Dinner time at our house is crazy most nights, but the the few evenings we are ALL actually at the table provide great entertainment! I figured i would use this blog to randomly post thoughts, one liners, arguments, etc. on here for our family journal, so it will occasionally be updated whenever one of our fire team has something worth remembering and of course if i have time to write it! How people have time to keep thier sites updated, i will never know! Maybe when i have outgrown my desire to be outside playing this sitting at a computer will be more enticing....but for now, i will post when i have time....

We were sitting at the dinner table tonight talking about all kinds of the normal sit around the dinner table conversations and Vicki and i are talking back & forth and Ed turns to us and says "what are you guys saying"? Ryan, while slurping his milk shake thru his straw, nonchalantly says, "you don't speak girl Dad, but Mom does". This just cracked up Ed and i.

Ty informed us tonight that he knows why Okinawa is so hot! He said it was because they burn their trash! Wow, the insites of an 8 year old never cease to amaze me!

Ryan informed us tonight that when he grows up he wants to be one of santa's elves because he just loves him so much and wants to build toys for him. I laughed and said he had plenty of time to thnk about it, but he definately had the ears for the job of an elf!
