Happy Haunting
It was a Haunting Night at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow tonight! The annual Halloween party was a LOT of fun!
Ryan won the costume contest for the 12-18 year olds
wearing Ty's sniper outfit.
We had fun posing with the mummies! I was a
bloody mess school girl zombie and Vicki wore my
Apple Witch costume.
The Dude In Cammies was a Disgruntled 1st Sgt
Zombie chick attacking the unsuspecting Marine
Silly dillies.....
Ty made it for the last part after football practice. He had fun in the back in the bar area
watching the football game. We joined him after they announced Ryan as the winner.
Sometimes things don't end well......but apparently we all grew.....

The Old Lady Roll Over
The first part of Jane Wayne day was heading over to the O Course. It was just recently put in so it is brand new. I swear this thing gets bigger every year! Either I am shrinking or they are making these logs higher up in the air!!! Ha! I did the old lady roll over. I remember when I used to be able to literally fly over these logs, not any more!!!! Vicki did great though!
I'm wondering when the day will come when I can't
even get over the log?!! Hopefully The Dude In
Cammies retires before that day so I never know
that it happened!!!!
Yep.......I will just stick with the old lady roll over.....

Checkers On Route 66
Our family is just plain ole suckers for a checker or chess table....checkers were always out at our last duty station in NC and we got used to just stopping wherever we were and playing a quick or long game or two. There was a checker board set up in the Route 66 Mother Road Museum, so we stopped and played a few rounds. I lost as usual.....i remember when i used to win.....

Ty Driving
In between conference sessions we did some off road driving in the jeep and some hiking. This was Ty's turn driving. He is our cautious driver. He did really good, but is VERY cautious and when we came to a steep down hill he refused to drive any further!!! One of the nice things about living in the middle of nowhere, it is very easy and very close to home to just turn off the main roads and explore dirt roads out in the desert!
