First Legal Drive

Vicki drove legally with me for the first time this morning. She drove us home from the gym. It was a slow choppy drive but she didn't hit any other cars or people or animals, so all was good.

Parking wasn't too bad either! 😜😂😂

Ole Yeller Came Back A Different Horse

Ole Yeller walked back in the stables a completely different horse than the wild horse he left as! It was truly amazing! He came in strutting and looking at the other horses like he was one of them now! It was toooo cute!!!!

Shoveling Poo Really Is Awesome!

While The Dude On A Horse was working with Rookie I had about 45 minutes before I needed to pick up Ty so I began mucking out the stalls. I was able to do Deans, Johns, Old Yellers, Rookies, and started Fords. Ed and the kids think I'm crazy for liking to do it, but I actually really enjoy it. One, it's a great work out and two it's just fun working with these big guys! Even shoveling their poop! They each have different personalities. Some just ignore me, others constantly nudge me or try to chew on my hair. I can tell whose grumbling and we have all kinds of humorous chit chats and almost all of them come up to me for their kiss on their forehead. Ford kills me because he wants to kiss me on the mouth but I draw the line there!!! Old Yeller was soooo funny tonight, he kept moving so I had to go the long way around each time with my shovel of poo! I think he was just trying to keep me in there as long as possible! Stormin' Normin was just all kinds of talking tonight! I think he was upset I started at the other end and never made it to him!!! I think he's the biggest. He used to scare me, but not anymore, he's just a big sweetheart 😍

But I just LOVE these guys!!! Wish I would have had time to get all their stalls cleaned out but I'm not super fast and they are always distracting me!!!

Old Yeller finally moved over to the side when I was done!!!! He loves for me to sing to him.

John plopped down when I finished his stall. I wonder if I will ever be able to plop down next to them....? I soooo wanted to sit in front of his face, but I don't think we are there yet....lol

Ford puts his head down for me to kiss him, but then he starts coming at me to kiss me back!!! He cracks me up! When I am out in the pen with him and call him he will follow me wherever I go. I just LOVE him!!! 😍

The Sniper Wins Costume Contest!

Ryan won the costume contest at the base Halloween Party tonight for his age category!!! He won a cool prize too! This was one of my favorite games to play when I was a kid! Ryan loves this costume he borrowed from Ty!

After Game Chit Chat

I sooooo love that Ed is here this football season to talk to Ty after his games!!! He just knows what to ask and all that stuff!!! I am quite the lame football dad!!!!

It was a Haunting Night at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow tonight! The annual Halloween party was a LOT of fun!

Ty made it for the last part after football practice. He had fun in the back in the bar area
watching the football game. We joined him after they announced Ryan as the winner.

Sometimes things don't end well......but apparently we all grew.....

A Corn Maze In Encino

We found a great corn maze nice and close in Encino right by where Nolan plays baseball. It was totally fun and we had a great time and FINALLY found our way out!!!

The Old Lady Roll Over

The first part of Jane Wayne day was heading over to the O Course. It was just recently put in so it is brand new. I swear this thing gets bigger every year! Either I am shrinking or they are making these logs higher up in the air!!! Ha! I did the old lady roll over. I remember when I used to be able to literally fly over these logs, not any more!!!! Vicki did great though!

I'm wondering when the day will come when I can't

even get over the log?!! Hopefully The Dude In

Cammies retires before that day so I never know

that it happened!!!!

I Love Ford

I just adore Ford.....I love all the horses but Ford is my VERY favorite. I make sure to spend time with each of the horses, they all get chit chats and loves but Ford is just my sweetheart. I totally love his bangs! He lets me braid them,  swoop them to the sides, part them down the middle and tuck behind his ears, pretty much whatever I want to do. He is always nuzzling on me and will chew on my arm but never use his teeth to bite me. When I go out to the pasture he will come to me and when I leave he follows me and wants to go with me out the gate! He hasn't been trained yet, so he is never gone so I get to see him all the time! he is one of the youngest ones there, so he should be there for a pretty long time.

 

He loves to nuzzle me and itch his nose on me!!! 

He thinks I am his personal chin rest!

Running Rookie

Ed took Rookie out today for some work. Rookie wanted to run! They had a fun afternoon running after the ground work was done. I love watching Ed with the horses. He has developed a bond with several of them and so he is able to ride different horses for different occasions since they all seem to have their little quirks. Rookie is getting old and had started acting up and so he was basically just kinda put on break for about 6 weeks. Ed pulled him out and started working with him a few weeks ago and he is doing great again. Ed used him for the Barstow Rodeo and he did fabulous. I think he is ready to hit the road again. I think Rookie will go up for auction in another year or so.....I hope he goes to a nice owner, he's an awesome horse.
