Who Works This Phone Line?

I cross these tracks regularly either on foot or in my car. This sign always has me wondering a few things....

1. Were there enough suicides there to warrant this sign being put up?

2. How many people has this sign saved?

3. Who works this job? Do they cover several phone lines on their shift? If the line rings does the person know which track phone it is? Are there cameras at the tracks so the person working can see whose calling?

I wonder if I'll ever know the answers to all those questions.....

A Memorable Parking Photo

I always take a few landmark pictures where we park when we will be doing a lot of walking so I don't lose our car. Today's landmark photo was quite memorable. I'm trying to think what they once advertised...boxer briefs? Swim suits? I guess I'll never know. But it was definitely easy to see them street level since we had parked on the roof!!! No problem finding our way back to our car today! 😂😂😂

A Veggie Hawaiian?

Our Dogs Do Watch TV When We Are Gone

I was home alone and putting things away in the family room when the tv in there suddenly came on. Totally startled me because I was right next to the tv and NOBODY was home!!! I spun around and Bella was sitting on the couch between the tv/Xbox remotes. She had her little paw on the remote on her right side. Of course I didn't get a picture of that! I grabbed my phone to try but wasn't fast enough. We always joke about the dogs having a party when we aren't home....now I know they can atleast watch tv!!! 😂😂😂

Black Friday In Old Town

I'm not a fan of Black Friday shopping. It was a beautiful day so we knew we definitely wanted to be outside!!! Old Town was decided on. We love walking around down there. It never disappoints! Loved this beautiful nativity that was set up.









We tried to get in this first shopping day of the season by standing in front of the fire....we didn't last long in front of the fire😂 I found a fun phone to pose with😃


We ended up grabbing a late lunch at one of our favorite places to eat, Cafe Coyote. We also had fun tasting chocolate! I'm always a go for chocolate!!!


Just some random pictures on my phone. It's fun playing tourists down in Old Town. Earlier in the day we bought a fresh tamale to share as a snack while listening to the live Christmas music being played.

The Secret Window

Ed and I were walking around this one place in Old Town that we all go to. I saw this window with a sign 'Tips Appreciated' and these two ladies inside making fresh tortillas. Not sure how I've missed this all these years!!! So I gave one of the ladies at the window a dollar and got a very fresh and very hot tortilla! It was delicious!!!

Back To Work

The alarm going off this morning at 4:15 was NOT my friend! Completely enjoyed my week off for Thanksgiving and no alarms for 9 whole days! Back to the grind this morning. Three weeks until we are off for three weeks for Christmas break!!!

Happy 18 Ty

I can't believe this kiddo is 18 today! We brought Ty home from the hospital on Thanksgiving Day back in 1999. We were stationed here at Camp Pendleton. His first baby picture and first picture as an adult were taken on Camp Pendleton. He has officially gone full circle in his childhood! I'm also crying because it's the last time he will be a kid at home when Thanksgiving falls on his birthday! 😭 His Christmas gift to me this year was getting his hair cut in the style I chose!

Two Turkeys & Two Bows

We cooked two turkeys for Thanksgiving this year since we had two. We called them the Mexican and German birds for fun. Cooking in big bows is fun but not when you put your head in the fridge! 😂

Quick Beach Stop

Today was a perfect beach day! Got everything done early so I could zip out for a quick ocean swim. I had two tag already nfs with me. The little mermaid was asleep most of the time. She must have enjoyed her beach nap! She woke up with giant grins and giggles. The water was freezing and caught my breath each time I dove in the waves. Might be the last time I swim without a wetsuit until next year!!! But still felt great!

Rabbit Food Time

Time to get serious! One month until our Ball! I need to get my act together or I'll be wearing one of my muumuus to the Ball. I s'pose I could dress it up with some diamonds and pearls and bedazzle some high wedge flip flops if I can't fit into a ball gown! Geez! Gotta get thru Thanksgiving and the first week of December!!! YIKES!!! Gonna be living on rabbit food and on the treadmill for awhile!!!

Evil Echo Empire Represents

Victoria had her Spouses Field Meet at the Depot. I got to watch Gabby Li while her mom was a tugawaring, running ammo cans, doing the dizzy izzy, balloon tossing and three legged racing. Gabriella looked adorable representing The Kids of Evil Echo Empire of 2nd Battalion.
