Count Down Time

The first day of December has arrived so it is time for all the count downs!!!

This one used to be for each of the kids but now one row is for Ty, Ryan, Taylor, and saving one for Vicki!

Ryan went to bed early because he wanted to make sure he got up first to get to do this one first!

Ed always does this one on his way to work except for when he's deployed!

Perfect Foot Rest

Thanksgiving Coma

Someone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Feast today....now in a Thanksgiving Coma.....

What The Elf?!!!

Taylor told Ty she had an early Christmas gift for him. He opened up two boxes to find a scarf and a hat, each saying "What The Elf". Taylor was wearing a jacket while Ty was opening up his gifts. After she had put the scarf and hat on him she said, "If only i had something to match...." Than she unzipped her jacket and wha-la!!! She had on a matching sweater!!! These two are too funny! There is a youtube video of this whole gift unwrapping.

Base Club, MCLB Barstow

The club on base is the happening place for any base function. The Dude In Cammies even has his own cup holder here!

There was nobody here while Jennefer and the kids and I were setting up for the Single Marine Thanksgiving Dinner for later tonight so I took some pictures of this cool little place....

It is very horsie here since the stables are at this duty station.

Gas Shut Off!

Tonight is the Single Marine Thanksgiving Dinner. All the spouses here on base cook a feast for all the single Marines that live in the barracks. Of course there happens to be a gas leak and the gas is turned off for the day. All our ovens are gas!!! The Dude In Cammies found ovens around base for us to use. My two turkeys were ordered to the barracks kitchen that has two ovens. So, I headed over there....

We arrive to discover an awesome facility!!! Ty, Ryan, and Taylor were put on Turkey Duty and stayed at the barracks while they cooked. I went and filled up a picnic basket of drinks and food for them. I think it's safe to say they will survive hardship duty!

Alien Jerky!

We've always seen the signs that the Alien Jerky is the best jerky in the world. Sooooo, when we stopped in Baker tonight for dinner and saw it across the street we decided to take a peek....crazy fun place! Bought some jerky for Ty to add to his birthday bag. Believe it or not, it really is REALLY, REALLY good!!!

All this time we thought Baker only had the worlds largest thermometer, but lo and behold there is an A&W, tcby, and Mrs. Fields cookies!!! Perfect dinner stop on our way home from Vegas!!!

Fighting M&M

Having some fun in Vegas! The big fight was last night, the youngin' won. But I'm just having fun surrounded by chocolate!

Monte Carlo

Our Ball is at the Monte Carlo this year....i do really like this hotel. I slept like a baby and the water pressure and shower nozzle were amazing! If a shower has horrible water pressure and a shower head that only has this little stream, don't care how nice the hotel is, i will never be back! Maybe if i was bald i wouldn't care....

We have a great room with an awesome view of the strip. 23rd floor, so no earthquakes this weekend, PLEASE!!!

Buffet Breakfast In Vegas!

Breakfast....we went to the buffet....I decided to be adventurous! I had my first Egg Benedict. I've always wanted to try this, so BAM! I did! I had a bit of almost everything else there was, except yucky things!

For closing I made a custom brownie sundae. First time having this with breakfast!!! YUM!!!

Paris

Next stop Paris! We had a fun time here and even listened to the band for awhile. We made a quick funny video for Ryan in front of the Eiffel Tower. 

Grandpa and Debbie were having a great time too!!!

Mini Me.....?

Ed found his Mini Me while we were walking the strip! I should have put it on video! These two were having so much fun quoting the movie back and forth!

Leaves Are Rare Here!

I couldn't believe I came across a pile of these! Like WOW!!!! Not a common sight here in the desert!!! It was totally fun to crunch threw them! Soooo glad I wasn't in flip flops! I will admit I do not miss raking them a single bit though!!!

Fountain Kisses

Sometimes you just have to stop and have a kiss at a fountain....in Old Town San Diego....

Someday....

Someday when we are done moving and Jasper no longer has the desire to destroy things such as this I will have a giant bear!!! But more important, I will remember this particular day forever....my sweet husband thanked me for getting him to the top, for not letting him quit when he wante to for seeing the end game when he couldn't....we were both misty eyed walking the ailes as the reality set it that we had made it, really made it and my sweetie kept saying how he couldn't have done it without me.

The list came out for Seargant Major today. I couldn't believe when Ed called this morning and told me. I cried....I'm sooo over the moon happy for him! He has worked so hard and all that work paid off! He came back from a meeting to find this giant banner on his office door!

He was quite impressed...

The smile of happiness....it's sinking in...

It's been a great day!

Time to go home and celebrate!

I Couldn't Place The Smell...

While I was doing the dishes tonight I smelled a smell....it was a familiar smell but I couldn't quite place it....after about an hour I realized it was the heater!!!!! It REALLY must be cold!!! I guess the AC days are gone for awhile! Fall has hit the High Desert....I am not a fan of cold weather!!!
