Pier Pictures

We killed some time in between Ty's track events over at the San Clemente Pier. The day has been mostly cloudy and drizzly and when the breeze picks up, just plain BRRRRRRR!!!! But the weather was perfect while we were enjoying the ocean views!!! Love these pictures Vicki took of us!!! Definitely my happy place!!!❤️

I'm Not Good To Relax With

Ed wanted to go to the beach this weekend no matter the weather, except rain. It was a little chilly but no rain so we put on hoodies and went to one of our favorite spots. I sat still with him for atleast a minute, and that was atleast a FULL minute!!! But than I had to get comfortable because I don't fit in these chairs like he does! Soooo, I rested my feetsters across his lap....than up to his arm....than his shoulders.....he made me stop when I tried to give him a scalp massage with my toes!!! He also didn't like me playing ocean music on my phone since we were already sitting at the ocean!!!! I offered to play stream music but than he said that would make him have to pee. I suggested Amazon music and he replied I was an Amazon....so we sat listening to the real ocean in front of us and I think he got a little relaxation in.....I tried real hard to hold still and not talk or move.

1st Marine Division Celebrates 76 Years

A few weeks ago Ed told me I had a dinner to go to with him......he never gave the 5 'W's' just what uniform he would be wearing. Sooooo, i wasn't quite sure what to wear....it ended up being the 76th aniversarry for the for the 1st Marine Division.  The Old Breed.  It was a great night with wonderful company and a delicious dinner!!! Always fun to accompany this great looking guy! 

December Pier Walking

It was a beautiful day today. Ed and I decided to go walk the pier after church. My favorite birds were hanging out on their favorite perch. One of the guys that works the tackle sales on the pier fed them a few squids. Later a kid threw a squid and one bird caught it and ate it. He threw a second one and none of the birds wanted it. It was hilarious to watch the seagulls circling overhead wanting it. One was finally brace enough to swoop down and snatch it up! I was just glad to watch all that and leave with no poop in my hair!!! Hahaha

We somehow matched today!

Hoping he doesn't swoop down and poop on me!

He DOES Pay Attention!

Ed was helping me with dinner tonight....he let me know the water was boiling and asked me if I wanted him to put the noodles in. I told him yes and to stir the noodles. Later when I looked over at the pot I saw he had put the wooden spoon over the top of the pot!!! That made me giggle. I laughed and said, 'Hey! You pay attention in here!!!' He just laughed and said, 'of course!'

Early Birthday Fun For Ed

Since Ed is going to be gone for his birthday we decided to spend today out celebrating early! We started at Little Italy having fun walking thru all the vendors. I found someone selling pommegranites already seeded and in a container with a spoon! Ed loves those, so he enjoyed eating those as we walked around. Later we went to Sea Port Village and had fun walking thru all the shops and along the water. We rented some bikes and road all over from Sea Port Village, to the mirina and than out to the USS Midway and Star of India. We ended the day at Claim Jumpers for dessert. Ed had the yummy caremal pumpkin cheesecake and i had the legendary chocolate cake! It was a perfect day to celebrate early!!!

The Hat

Ed has been wanting to get a hat like this for awhile now.....but he always changes his mind and doesn't get it. Today as he was trying on hats I joked with him about how since we lived in vacation land he should start dressing like he's on vacation. So, he has finally decided to get the hat! It looks great! And now he looks like he is on vacation like everyone else here!!!!

First Dinner Is Islands

It was quite fitting that mine and Eds first dinner should be nothing other than Islands! Lots of memories at this restaurant in Vista!!! I had my usual and the same thing i had the very first time i introduced Ed to this restaurant, the Wedge with avocado on wheat. We have eaten here when he was a Lance Corporal and now as a Sgt Maj!!! Wow! 

Blind Spot Will Have A Season Two

I love the show Blindspot. Usually shows that i REALLY like do not come back for a second season. I guess i have terrible taste in television shows.....but i just found out that Blindspot will be around for a second season!

Not Wonder Woman & The Marine

I made a super yummy Cinco de Mayo feast for dinner tonight. Afterwards Ed had to put on his uniform to go to an event out in town. I walked him out to the front porch. The boys were out front playing catch and took this picture of us. It captures us perfectly!!! Ed the Marine and me, well definitely NOT Wonder Woman, more like a giant wreck! But i can pretend....

He's My Beautiful Drug

I was singing one of my favorite songs to him, Beautiful Drug, when I took this picture. We had just left the stables and were exhausted! Stinky too so I had fun singing to him and he kept slamming on the brakes....funny funny guy!!!

Dinner In Old Town

We decided to introduce Jennifer and Taylor to Old town and one of our favorite restaurants! We manage to hit this place about once a year whenever we have been stationed in California. It's a fun place, one of Eds favorite places to go and no complaints from me! We weren't disappointed although i discovered i make better tortilla soup that they do!!!  But the rest of our dinner was delicious!!!
