Outdoor Cardio Tonight

It was sooo nice to do outdoor cardio again! Our warm weather is here and here to stay! Atleast i think so!!! I am willing it to stay and i am packing away all our cold weather clothes anyways! There was this guy coming right at me and for a second i was wondering why he wasn't moving and than i realized it was Ty! He was running right at me with a big grin! Than he was on his way still running.  I cam across this huge puddle on my trail that i had to go around! I wonder how long that will take to dry up? It was nice to be sweating outside again! When we were driving home we drove by the giant puddle and Ty said how it felt so good to run thru it. I laughed and said i went around it.....Ty also said he got lost in the woods when he was running tonight....that kid cracks me up.....

I got a nice little ticket in the mail.....looks like The Dude in Cammies rode in the special lane when he was driving to his sisters house. I made this funny little collage for him.....hahahahahahaha, i crack myself up!

First Hot Dog This Year

I used to LOVE hot dogs! Just like this one pictures below. Now I rarely eat them.....this is my first one this year and probably my last.....I think it was good....not really sure.....definite sign it is probably my first and last for the year! Ha!

Ever Elusive Ryan....

I have probably taken atleast a million or so pictures of Ryan's hand and atleast double or triple that in blurry pictures and times that by a hundred of pictures that he got completely out of just before my camera went 'click'! Today at Old Navy while Ty was in the dressing room I was almost successful in getting him without him noticing, almost....it is always fun to try.....

Friday Off From Work

I had my first Friday off from work in a long time!!! I had a ton of things to do first and than I went down to the docks and read for a little bit and ate a yummy bowl of strawberries. I can feel winter receding and I am sooooo happy!!! It felt sooo totally fantabulous to sit at one of my most favorite places with my feet dangling over the edge of the dock reading my book while I listening the seagulls arguing further down the dock and the water swishing under the docks. Of course there is always that constant fear of an alligator showing up wanting to wrestle or snack on me.....but the water, sun, my bird friends, book.....ahhhhhh....it was wonderful!!!!!!

Last Cold Day! I Think....

It is still cold!!! BUT! I think today is our last COLD cold day.....and there is no snow on the ground so I am happy about that! This was yesterday.....

This is today.......it was 21 when I let the dogs out....

Tomorrow we are supposed to be in the mid 70's and from the 10 day forecast it doesn't look like we will see these ice cold frozen car mornings until next winter!!! I think Spring is finally close to arriving and staying put!!! I can't wait for non stop warm weather!!!!

Tired of a frozen car every morning....but it is better than a car covered in snow!!! I'm thinking today might be the last day I have to unfreeze my car for a VERY long time!!!!

This has just really made me laugh every time I see it floating around the web!

It's Dark Jeans Today

The Dude In Cammies has to wear these shirts when he is off to different events with his horse and than he changes into his Cammies or Blues pending what the event is when they get there. His shirts are different colors. I guess they are wearing black today so he is in dark jeans....something I have not seen in a LONG time!!!! I think it's a Blues event today and he won't be riding his blonde, Chue, but will be riding Dean, a brunette. We had much teasing in the texting banter while he was at the stables early this morning getting ready to go to San Juan Capistrano. I just love that he has finally caved and takes selfies for me!

Spring Is Here

Yep, this just made me laugh with the weather forecast we have coming up....

68 degrees today....68 degrees for Friday....78 degrees for Saturday and BAM!!! Snow is expected on Tues and Wednesday next week!!! CRAZY!!! Our house needs to rent! This girl needs to get back to sunny Southern California!!!

Another Picture On The Wall

The Dude in Cammies has another picture on the wall at his new location.....but he is obviously NOT in cammies.....so he is The Dude in um, ugh, i really should know my uniforms by now....but i don't....and i probably never will.....i am the worst Marine Wife EVER!!! But i think these are the Alpha's.....so  yes, we will just go with that, The Dude in Alpha's! If i am wrong, well than i am wrong, i don't think anyone will call me out on it and if they do, I'm blonde....so there! ;) He HATES having his picture up in places, but i guess that comes with getting old....but it is a rather nice picture except there is no smile, just that look that he gives when i know i am in trouble....the glare....the ooops i guess i shouldn't have done that look.....soooo, aside from thinking i am in trouble......it's a pretty good picture of The Dude in Alpha's! Gosh, he would probably kill me if he knew i blogged about him.....yep, this is the look i would get....... 

Good Morning From Chue

The Dude in Cammies had to be at the stables early this morning, well not SUPER early, but kinda early, 4 am early, so at 7 am right when i was arriving at work i got my good morning picture form The Dude in Cammies, but it wasn't The Dude in Cammies, it was Chue!!!  He is soooo cute!!!  I can't wait to give him a big ole hug!!!  The Dude in Cammies has to ride him in a ceremony today at Camp Pendleton so they had to load up the horses and leave early to get out there for the event. He has a parade he has to ride in Saturday or maybe Friday and than the first Rodeo starts up pretty soon he will be doing.....he and Chue are VERY busy!!!! I am hoping he will send me pictures!!!! He needs me there to take pictures!!!! Well, for other things too.....but definitely has his camera person with all the events he is always off to!!! 

Working Out With Super Man

This is what happens when we get to our class early.....Ty runs around the room with his mat on his back like Superman! Than he and Vicki were laughing about how they weigh the same and Ty got in some pull ups but decided he had better stop since we do about 5-600 curls with squats with our weights in this class before we hit the floor for abs.....i do love going to the gym with my kids....

Skype Night

Just another typical Face Time with The Dude in Cammies, although he is obviously NOT in cammies, but sometimes he is, but tonight he isn’t…..but I did see his cammies as he joked about how when we hung up he was going to go get his uniforms ready.  He has to get his ‘in town’ uniform ready and then roll sleeves on his cammies for when he is on base. He is visiting some schools tomorrow on behalf of the base so he has to wear his blues.  I told him I could watch him roll his sleeves so it would be like he was at home……he said, “no!” lol He chit chatted with each of the kids, I walked around the house so he could see and say hello to each of the furry kids as well. Jasper barked his head off as usual when he hears his voice….Leah did a courtesy howl, Tank acts like he doesn’t care and Bella gets all yippy with her barking. These furry kids are just too funny! Soo glad we have facetime with our phones and can pretty much see each other and chit chat whenever we want to. Hopefully this summer we can be living under the same roof again….but until than we have facetime/skype time or whatever time……

Snow Cream

I made a whole bunch of snow cream back when we had that ton of snow fall back in February.  It is really good and i have been eating it.  The boys finally deciding to try it. They loved it!!! I asked them why they hadn't tried it earlier. Ryan said, "Well, i thought there would be like grass and dirt in it...." Oh my gosh!!!

This is the mocha chocolate one i made for me. I made the boys vanilla and vanilla with chocolate chips and they have just been going to town on their snow cream!

Crockpot Dinner Tonight

I made my yummy italian chicken, potato, carrots, and onion dinner in the crockpot over rice tonight. Sooo delicious!!! Perfect for a chilly Sunday.

Celebration For Ed

Ed went and spent the weekend at his Sisters house.  He took Nolan to his baseball game on Saturday and when he came back his Sister and Mom and Nolan took him out to dinner and his Sister and Mom had made him this cake for getting his Bronze Star at work on Friday.  They went out to dinner at Marie Calenders. Yum! I am sad i am missing out on all these moments with him.....but glad he has family near by taking care of him....

Mid March 2014

Just a few things going on the middle of March at the Bonanza House.....Vicki and i are cleaning out the cabinets....so it was a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting.....i made my favorite hashbrown casserole, the copycat from Cracker Barrel.......i just love my water cup that The Dude in Cammies always teases me about....i sent him a picture of it to show him my fish swimming under the lemon slices with their sour expressions......i sent him pictures of my toes while i was sitting out on the back deck reading my book.....and of course a picture of his dog being a bad dog curled up on the couch.....these are just some of the random pictures that were sent to The Dude in Cammies on this day in the middle of March from the house on Bonanza......   

Cardio Outside!!!

It was sooo nice to be able to do our cardio outside tonight!!!  It was 77 degrees tonight when we got to the gym and it was just gorgeous outside! I think everybody else had the same idea! I passed numerous Marines out running too!  Than it was time to do weights and than swim laps! It was sooo nice to have a warm evening!!!! The windows were open all day at the house today and i drove home with the sunroof open....too bad this warm weather is not here to stay.....soooo looking forward to warm weather....

Canine Soccer Friday

Jasper came running up to Ty with the soccer ball in his mouth, like he always does and Ty caved and went out to play soccer with him.  They had fun for awhile and than it went down as it always does.....Leah howling, Bellas barking her head off and Jasper eventually running off with his soccer ball.....yep....soccer with the canines always ends the same.....

The Kills Have Started......Again

Well, you can definitely tell there have been a few warm days in between the endless cold days of winter…..there have obviously been some activity in the yard of critters coming out of their hide outs from the cold. Leah has been hunting and evidence of her kills is obvious! She is quite proud of a rather large rodent she has been carrying around with her the last couple of days.  It was too this afternoon. She had it in her mouth and was slinging it around and Jasper got a little bit too close to her face and he got smacked right dab in HIS face with the rodent.  It was hilarious.  He was just like a lil like what just happened?! She was all proud of her kill. She gave me that cute look of hers and rolled onto her stomach and wanted me to scratch her tummy.  She cracks me up.  Bella was pretty impressed, but than it was about the size of her head!!! There was also a dead bird…probably from Leah as well…..we are definitely getting into the season of where I find endless dead critters in the yard from Ms Wolfie….

The Dude in Cammies HATES being in the spotlight.....i think he secretly likes it a little, but he does also hate being that center attention guy at the same time....so i took some funny pictures this morning and had fun blowing up his phone when he woke up to hopefully relax him a little and lighten up his mood....so here are just a few that i took in the library this morning and sent to him before i went to my classroom.....

It's Cold Again....

The alarm went off this morning and checked the weather hoping just maybe it just might be warm.....or that i have been dreaming for a very long time and i really do NOT live somewhere cold....but NOPE, i live right here in Richlands NC and it is 23 degrees and feels like 17 degrees.....and yes, this Southern California girl is feeling very misplaced these days and this winter is REALLY feeling like it has just dragged on for a VERY long time this year.....i REALLY need to live somewhere warm again.....i am NOT a cold weather fan!!! My feetsters are tired of beeing in socks and locked up in boots......I WANT MY FLIP FLOPS!!!!!
