The Old Lady Roll Over
The first part of Jane Wayne day was heading over to the O Course. It was just recently put in so it is brand new. I swear this thing gets bigger every year! Either I am shrinking or they are making these logs higher up in the air!!! Ha! I did the old lady roll over. I remember when I used to be able to literally fly over these logs, not any more!!!! Vicki did great though!
I'm wondering when the day will come when I can't
even get over the log?!! Hopefully The Dude In
Cammies retires before that day so I never know
that it happened!!!!
Yep.......I will just stick with the old lady roll over.....

I Love Ford
I just adore Ford.....I love all the horses but Ford is my VERY favorite. I make sure to spend time with each of the horses, they all get chit chats and loves but Ford is just my sweetheart. I totally love his bangs! He lets me braid them, swoop them to the sides, part them down the middle and tuck behind his ears, pretty much whatever I want to do. He is always nuzzling on me and will chew on my arm but never use his teeth to bite me. When I go out to the pasture he will come to me and when I leave he follows me and wants to go with me out the gate! He hasn't been trained yet, so he is never gone so I get to see him all the time! he is one of the youngest ones there, so he should be there for a pretty long time.
He loves to nuzzle me and itch his nose on me!!!
He thinks I am his personal chin rest!

Another Picture On The Wall
The Dude in Cammies has another picture on the wall at his new location.....but he is obviously NOT in cammies.....so he is The Dude in um, ugh, i really should know my uniforms by now....but i don't....and i probably never will.....i am the worst Marine Wife EVER!!! But i think these are the Alpha's.....so yes, we will just go with that, The Dude in Alpha's! If i am wrong, well than i am wrong, i don't think anyone will call me out on it and if they do, I'm blonde....so there! ;) He HATES having his picture up in places, but i guess that comes with getting old....but it is a rather nice picture except there is no smile, just that look that he gives when i know i am in trouble....the glare....the ooops i guess i shouldn't have done that look.....soooo, aside from thinking i am in trouble......it's a pretty good picture of The Dude in Alpha's! Gosh, he would probably kill me if he knew i blogged about him.....yep, this is the look i would get.......

Skype Night
Just another typical Face Time with The Dude in Cammies, although
he is obviously NOT in cammies, but sometimes he is, but tonight he isn’t…..but
I did see his cammies as he joked about how when we hung up he was going to go
get his uniforms ready. He has to get
his ‘in town’ uniform ready and then roll sleeves on his cammies for when he is
on base. He is visiting some schools tomorrow on behalf of the base so he has
to wear his blues. I told him I could
watch him roll his sleeves so it would be like he was at home……he said, “no!” lol He chit chatted with each of the
kids, I walked around the house so he could see and say hello to each of the
furry kids as well. Jasper barked his head off as usual when he hears his voice….Leah
did a courtesy howl, Tank acts like he doesn’t care and Bella gets all yippy
with her barking. These furry kids are just too funny! Soo glad we have
facetime with our phones and can pretty much see each other and chit chat
whenever we want to. Hopefully this summer we can be living under the same roof
again….but until than we have facetime/skype time or whatever time……
Yep, we have this even stateside.....

Mid March 2014
Just a few things going on the middle of March at the Bonanza House.....Vicki and i are cleaning out the cabinets....so it was a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting.....i made my favorite hashbrown casserole, the copycat from Cracker Barrel.......i just love my water cup that The Dude in Cammies always teases me about....i sent him a picture of it to show him my fish swimming under the lemon slices with their sour expressions......i sent him pictures of my toes while i was sitting out on the back deck reading my book.....and of course a picture of his dog being a bad dog curled up on the couch.....these are just some of the random pictures that were sent to The Dude in Cammies on this day in the middle of March from the house on Bonanza......

The Dude in Cammies HATES being in the spotlight.....i think he secretly likes it a little, but he does also hate being that center attention guy at the same time....so i took some funny pictures this morning and had fun blowing up his phone when he woke up to hopefully relax him a little and lighten up his mood....so here are just a few that i took in the library this morning and sent to him before i went to my classroom.....

Goodnight #38
It is now March....tonight is the 38th Goodnight by phone.....keep smiling.....keep staying happy.....one foot in front of the other.....I feel like I just did this for a year.....oh yeah, I did, just to start all over again, smile, stay happy, one foot in front of the other.....repeat....maybe for 2 years this time....and try to be sympathetic to the wife who is complaining about her husband who works nights......or whose husband is going to be gone for 3 whole days this week, how will she ever manage, or the wife who thinks she is loosing it because her husband has a 6 week school to go to or the wife who is saying they are getting out if their bonus isn't as big as last time and he's never even deployed where he has to carry a gun and shoot people.....the list is endless of complaining wives......geeez, I would just like to live on the same coast as my husband. That is what we were hoping for. We knew the gun club would move him, we were just hoping it would be SC or VA where we could see each other atleast every other weekend or so, not the whole opposite side of the US of A!!!!! Oh well.....smile, be happy, one foot in front of the other.....and I'm not complaining.....I can do this life, i just get so annoyed when i have to listen to people complaining about their husbands or boyfriends being gone for just this little itty bitty time frame.....they are so lame.....

First Night Without Him, Again
You would think Jasper would be used to this by now...but he isn't....he is the biggest cry baby every time The Dude in Cammies leaves! Even when it is just a few nights on a field op! Jasper does the same thing EVERY time his best friend doesn't come home. He curls up as small as he can get on Ed's side of the bed on Ed's pillow and whimpers.....it's just pathetic.....I should be the one crying!!! But, nooooooooo, it's the dog crying and me hugging him telling him everything will be alright!!! I'm the one that should be getting the hugs and being told it will be alright.....nope! Jasper gets all the lovin's and attention on lonely night one....atleast he is cute and soft and smells good!
Not Used To This!
Totally not used to this! Empty closet.......empty drive way.......and Vicki is the one heading out to the next duty station! This is just all kinds of backwards!!! His vehicles have always been left behind when he leaves, only his uniforms have left the closet, and Vicki scouting out our next duty station?!!! Yep, just all kinds of crazy!!! But they made it to Alabama!
Driving Away....With VICKI!!!
I'm the Mom, the Marine Wife....it's my double job to watch the Marine and my daughter drive away and wave until i see them no more....and than of course wipe away the tear drops and walk back into work with a smile like i will see them tonight at the dinner table. The life of a Marine Wife....i dare someone to try it for a day....well a day when they are away....well a day when they are away with a gun, while being shot at, in a foreign country, with no laws, and not allowed to shoot back at the people shooting at them, and not sure if the people they are with will be shooting them.....try it on one of those days....those are the harder days.....this is actually an easy day.....i could call him right now if i wanted to, but i won't because he is still on base and he can't talk on his phone on base and i need to get back to my classroom......
