Woke Up To Growls And A Stare Down

OH MY GOSH!!! Woke up to all these low deep in the chest growls and feeling all this pulling in my hair.....as i slowly opened my eyes and began to relaize what i was seeing and hearing it was Bella and Jasper having a stare down at each other with the sary "i'm gonna tear you to peices" growling going on. I had felt Bellas little paws digging into my head and pulling my hair, like she was digging for something but i had no idea what these 2 dogs were all in each others face over. I grabbed Bella and got up and felt something fall out of my hair and land on the carpet. It was a piece of Jasper's tennis ball!!! Jasper has had this tennis ball since early June always carying it around in his mouth. A few days ago he finally broke thru it and began shredding it. This is all that is left of it and Bella had stolen it from him and hid it in my hair when he came for it. Jeez!!! Crazy dogs!!! It was quite the site to wake up too!!!

Front Porch Lovins'

Tank was insistent on wanting to give Ryan lovins today on the front porch!!! It was sooo cute! Tank has been extra affectionate these days! I hope he isn't trying to tell us goodbye!!! He will be 11 this month....i've had Tank almost as long as i have had Ryan!!!

Finished My Board!

I started this several months ago! Today I decided to get busy and paint my board and get this done!! I loved both these quotes so my board is reversible! This is soooo our family!

While I was painting Bella had her snout buried in the grass hunting crickets. She found and ate several. Jasper tried to get in on the action but had no success. It was so funny to watch them, kinda gross too! Bella LOVES her cricket snacks!!!

Goodnight #164 or #529

Still sending The Dude In Cammies goodnight pictures. This is either Goodnight #164 since he left in January for our next Duty Station of goodnight #529 if i add the 365 from the deployment he had just gotten home from before leaving us again....but whose counting....i guess me! Hahahahaha! Someday we may live under the same roof again. We joke that we hope like saying goodnight face to face and not rather by text messages and face time!!! :) 

Champaign Cake For Dinner

I tried a new recipe for Champaign Cake today. It took a couple hours and when I was finished it felt like the cake weighed like 10 pounds!!! The boys and I thought we would have dessert first. Well, it was sooo rich that when we finished we were too full for dinner! Wow, it was really good!!!

I wish I could make it like the ones at the California Bakery!!! They are soo pretty with all the shaved pink chocolate!!!

Hurricane Arthur

Hurricane Arthur will be visiting us all night as he makes land fall in our neck of the woods. Hatches are buttoned down all is secure, now to just ride it out and pray for the best!

Hurricane Drink

I stopped at Sonic and got my favorite drink to ride out the hurricane with. Cherry Chocolate coke will be my buddy while I watch TV tonight.

Dogs Bracing For First Hurricane

The rain stopped suddenly around 8 so I had the dogs go outside while it was nice out. I went outside with them so they would stay outside longer, we had fun playing soccer and taking pictures. I didn't notice any of them going potty though!!! Hopefully they did while I wasn't looking! 

When Arthur made land fall Jasper and Bella wanted to cuddle up with me. So we watched TV to ignore all the noise going on outside.

Hurricane Dinner

Vicki and I decided on Japanese food for our Hurricane Dinner. We went to a place I've never been before. We picked a variety of yummy foods and they even had cucumber rolls!!! Now it feels like a typhoon kinda night! The food was delicious!!!!

USA Loses AND Advances!!!

USA ranked what, um 13? played Germany ranked I think #2 today. I took Ryan out for Panda Express to make up for forgetting to bring him home a Sonic burger last night. We watched the last part of the game. USA played really well but still lost, but not as bad of a loss as i thought it was going to be....but amazingly they get to advance!!! Looks like there will be another game! Wow! Go USA!!!

Stinky Shoe Love

I'm guessing he is either reminiscing in the smells I brought back from our walk this morning, or he wants me to take him for another cardio, or he just likes the smell of my stinky feet!!! 

Shot In The Hip

My right hip has been hurting for like atleast 2 years, I think it has actually been hurting the whole 5 years we have lived here but the pain has gotten worse. My doctor, who is awesome, thought it was Bursitis. She has given me shots before and a topical cream. It helped a little but since it has been hurting under her watch for about 6 months she decided to refer me to Ortho and verify it is Bursitis and if so than they would be able to give me a steroid shot right into my hip and if not than see if it is arthritis or what and treat whatever it is so I can get to walking with less pain. Had ex rays and it is Bursitis.  Soooo, the doctor gave me the steroid shot. OUCH!!! He laughed when i said ouch and told me he had to bring out the big guns for this kind of shot! he wasn't joking!!!  That totally hurt but I am looking forward to this pain to be going away!!! Sooo, I got to tease The Dude In Cammies and send him a truly naked picture of me from the waist down! Here is the edited picture of my hips!!!

Yummy Colorful Cake

I finally made this cake Vix has been wanting me to make. Yep, too much butter, too many eggs....it was delicious! After just a couple bites I was feeling quite full of cake, but I ate it all, every last bite!!!!  YUM! On a side note.....i bought some really fun plates from Thailand.....they each had a different chick dressed all fun carrying dessert. I bought a LOT of these plates and whenever one of my friends would have a birthday i would bake a cake and take her over a giant piece on her own Birthday Plate. I have a few left and whenever i eat off of one it brings back fun memories of taking cake over to differnt super fun friends from Okinawa!

 

Vicki & Drew

I had started this post a little while ago and would just upload pictures from my phone.....but than i guess i waited to long so now i have changed it from a post that had started about boyfriends.....to now they are just friends....

 

Vicki has been friends with Drew since 8th grade. They started liking each other last year.....they just recently switched to being just friends....I think she is a little sad but they still hang out and do things together and she just went to his High School graduation, they were in the same class until she decided to graduate a year ealy! I am glad they are friends so she can think more about what she wants to do with her life instead of factoring choices around him......

Oh, the arrow is pointing at a bruise left behind from Joseph Kirwan. We have known them for a LONG time and Vicki has known his family since before he was born. vicki was with me on the day they were packing out and they were who knows what but she hit him he hit her back somewhere along the while of sweeping and cleaning and almost empty house. They are totally like brothers and sisters to each other.....anyways he was driving to Texas with Kelli (his Mom) to meet up with the rest of the family who had left in the earlier departure and so i sent him that picture telling him a part of him was still in NC, so the arrow and bruise has nothing to do with Vicki and Drew.....

vicki would go to Drews soccer games so he wouldn't have to drive all by himself and she would take pictures....

I think this is one of their very first pictures when they started officially liking each other....

They have fun taking pictures....

sometimes Vicki just doesn't want her picture taken....

Lots of car trips for soccer games!

But i am glad they stayed friends.....

 

Updated My Shell Box

I have a shell box by the fire place full of shells from various beaches. These are the shells that i write on. Just a few words from that day to remind me of the memory of the beach day. I got a BIG shell even though i probably could have just written Adolpho 2014on a little shell and remembered it, but in case i am not around someday i figured all the information would jolt the kids memories to match the shell to my scrap books, photo books, blogger books, Facebook books......i'm starting to think i might have too many photo books of our family adventures!!!

We have taken phones to whole new level...i can probably write a book about how to keep your marriage alive and well via a phone...but i really don't want to share all the photos...Facebook, Instagram, and the Blogger only get an itty bitty snippet of what goes back and forth.
