Early Morning Shadows

I took Jasper for an early morning walk. It was nice and cool, in the mid 60's and beautiful! Jasper was in heaven! I LOVED our shadows. It was National Dog Day, so each dog had their own special walk this morning.

Woke Up To Growls And A Stare Down

OH MY GOSH!!! Woke up to all these low deep in the chest growls and feeling all this pulling in my hair.....as i slowly opened my eyes and began to relaize what i was seeing and hearing it was Bella and Jasper having a stare down at each other with the sary "i'm gonna tear you to peices" growling going on. I had felt Bellas little paws digging into my head and pulling my hair, like she was digging for something but i had no idea what these 2 dogs were all in each others face over. I grabbed Bella and got up and felt something fall out of my hair and land on the carpet. It was a piece of Jasper's tennis ball!!! Jasper has had this tennis ball since early June always carying it around in his mouth. A few days ago he finally broke thru it and began shredding it. This is all that is left of it and Bella had stolen it from him and hid it in my hair when he came for it. Jeez!!! Crazy dogs!!! It was quite the site to wake up too!!!

Finished My Board!

I started this several months ago! Today I decided to get busy and paint my board and get this done!! I loved both these quotes so my board is reversible! This is soooo our family!

While I was painting Bella had her snout buried in the grass hunting crickets. She found and ate several. Jasper tried to get in on the action but had no success. It was so funny to watch them, kinda gross too! Bella LOVES her cricket snacks!!!

Dogs Bracing For First Hurricane

The rain stopped suddenly around 8 so I had the dogs go outside while it was nice out. I went outside with them so they would stay outside longer, we had fun playing soccer and taking pictures. I didn't notice any of them going potty though!!! Hopefully they did while I wasn't looking! 

When Arthur made land fall Jasper and Bella wanted to cuddle up with me. So we watched TV to ignore all the noise going on outside.

Vix Is Taking Over My Cardio!

Vicki has discovered that cutting the grass is an awesome work out!!! She has taken over my cardio!!! Maybe i will get it back when we get into the triple digits, but for now she has highjacked it from me....

Jasper thinks he is her grass cutter coach! he just barks out commands!

Look Closely

Yes, this is Jasper lost under my sheets.....he couldn't get out and got all panicky!!! Crazy dog!! he was trying to get his tennis ball and somehow got his ball lost and himself lost! It was hilarious! He is like having a permanent toddler who can transform into a vicious killer anytime someone 5 doors down goes out to check their mailbox!

Friendly Saturday Morning Wake Up

One of the BEST ways to wake up! Unless you are Ryan....he HATES to wake up! But they did get a grin out of him!

We Found Lemon Oreos!

Sooo excited finding Lemon Oreo's! Was starting to wonder if Ed had dreamed seeing them! But they were real and Vicki and i saw them at Target! We bought them and had to take a picture to send to Ed! Jasper was pouting because i told them they were not for him! haha!!!  

Enjoying A Sunday Afternoon Out Back

Jasper was just sitting in the backyard in the shade with his soccer ball like he wanted me to take his picture or something....so i did and sent it to his Daddy!

Jasper Waking Up Tank

Tank was sound asleep on my bed until Jasper jumped up there and started nudging sleeping Tank with his big ole snout! Tank glared at him for a few seconds and than began licking that big ole head of his. It was soooo sweet!!!!

 

Jasper And His Soccer Ball

Jasper LOVES his soccer ball!!! It is always nearby, even when he is sleeping....

I think he dreams of his soccer ball!!! Probably tennis balls too.....

When you are holding it he gets his total puppy dog look face going on....

It is the perfect chin rest for him when he is on the bed watching TV with you!

My Drive Coach

The weather is officially warm again so Jasper is going to the groomers for his Spring Cleaning!!! The carpets are getting cleaned tomorrow so he is getting cleaned and furminated before the carpets get all the dirt and fur sucked out of them! Vicki took this super cute picture from the back seat. She reluctantly gave up her front seat spot to Jasper and sat in the back with the boys, not her favorite spot to be, but we had to have Jasper sit on a sheet so the car didn't get his fur that he is shedding all over the place on the seats! He sat up there watching the road ever sooooo vigilantly as always does. It is his job to take care of us, and he does, even in the car! He has no idea that he has no idea what he is doing, it is hilarious! My drink was in the cup holder and i had to have my hand over my straw because he was just drooling all over the place as he kept his ever watchful beautiful brown eyes on the road!!! He occasionally barked to alert me to something.....not sure what, but he let me know to be aware of some impending danger....we dropped him off to be scrubbed, furminating to get that undercoat all pulled out, teeth brushed, nails done, all combed out.....he just looked beautiful when we picked him up after Scouts and Young Women's!!!   

Baby Tennis Balls!!!

Jasper is sooo excited about his Tennis Ball tree! He checks out his baby tennis balls constantly! I have to keep getting after to him to only sniff and NOT lick or pick!!! Last year he picked ALL the tennis balls!!! I would like some peaches this year!! Silly dog!!! There are over 200 baby tennis balls so i am hoping to get a few peaches!!! Maybe the ones way up high!!!

Mid March 2014

Just a few things going on the middle of March at the Bonanza House.....Vicki and i are cleaning out the cabinets....so it was a vanilla cake with strawberry frosting.....i made my favorite hashbrown casserole, the copycat from Cracker Barrel.......i just love my water cup that The Dude in Cammies always teases me about....i sent him a picture of it to show him my fish swimming under the lemon slices with their sour expressions......i sent him pictures of my toes while i was sitting out on the back deck reading my book.....and of course a picture of his dog being a bad dog curled up on the couch.....these are just some of the random pictures that were sent to The Dude in Cammies on this day in the middle of March from the house on Bonanza......   

Canine Soccer Friday

Jasper came running up to Ty with the soccer ball in his mouth, like he always does and Ty caved and went out to play soccer with him.  They had fun for awhile and than it went down as it always does.....Leah howling, Bellas barking her head off and Jasper eventually running off with his soccer ball.....yep....soccer with the canines always ends the same.....

The Kills Have Started......Again

Well, you can definitely tell there have been a few warm days in between the endless cold days of winter…..there have obviously been some activity in the yard of critters coming out of their hide outs from the cold. Leah has been hunting and evidence of her kills is obvious! She is quite proud of a rather large rodent she has been carrying around with her the last couple of days.  It was too this afternoon. She had it in her mouth and was slinging it around and Jasper got a little bit too close to her face and he got smacked right dab in HIS face with the rodent.  It was hilarious.  He was just like a lil like what just happened?! She was all proud of her kill. She gave me that cute look of hers and rolled onto her stomach and wanted me to scratch her tummy.  She cracks me up.  Bella was pretty impressed, but than it was about the size of her head!!! There was also a dead bird…probably from Leah as well…..we are definitely getting into the season of where I find endless dead critters in the yard from Ms Wolfie….
