Thanksgiving Coma

Alien Jerky!

We've always seen the signs that the Alien Jerky is the best jerky in the world. Sooooo, when we stopped in Baker tonight for dinner and saw it across the street we decided to take a peek....crazy fun place! Bought some jerky for Ty to add to his birthday bag. Believe it or not, it really is REALLY, REALLY good!!!

All this time we thought Baker only had the worlds largest thermometer, but lo and behold there is an A&W, tcby, and Mrs. Fields cookies!!! Perfect dinner stop on our way home from Vegas!!!

Leaves Are Rare Here!

I couldn't believe I came across a pile of these! Like WOW!!!! Not a common sight here in the desert!!! It was totally fun to crunch threw them! Soooo glad I wasn't in flip flops! I will admit I do not miss raking them a single bit though!!!

Someday....

Someday when we are done moving and Jasper no longer has the desire to destroy things such as this I will have a giant bear!!! But more important, I will remember this particular day forever....my sweet husband thanked me for getting him to the top, for not letting him quit when he wante to for seeing the end game when he couldn't....we were both misty eyed walking the ailes as the reality set it that we had made it, really made it and my sweetie kept saying how he couldn't have done it without me.

Check Inside Before Turning On Washer

I hate spiders, LITERALLY! But for some reason they must love me and they seem to do their best when surprising me with their visits! Today it was the washing machine....fortunately for me the husband was home....unfortunately for me he looked at it, said goodbye and left...I turned off the water and quickly looked around for something to scoop the almost dead spider in that I didn't mind throwing away while trying to convince Ty and Ryan to get it for me!!! Ty saved the day and now my laundry is back on track!!!

No Rest For This Guy!

He took the first day to be drugged up and than starting that night he has been non stop either working in Marine stuff or school work. The nice thing about living about a mile from his office is his Marines can just swing by the house when they need to talk to him!

But every so often he takes a pain pill and crashes!

After Surgery Drive Home

Ed could not stay awake for longer than a few minutes at a time. It was sooo funny! He would ask me something and than be snoring before I could answer.

Ed was starving and the thought of jello, sprite, and soup broth was a no go to him! So we stopped at In N Out and he got a Protein Burger. He was happy with his lettuce wrapped burger and thank goodness it didn't make him sick!!!

First 4th Of July In Barstow

Our first 4th of July in Barstow and our first one together in a couple years!!! We started it at the All American BBQ at the base pool....and ended it at America's favorite past time, a baseball game! It was a perfect day!

The Duty swung by for lunch and it was a perfect 4th of July lunch!

Picked Up Mr. Hottie For Lunch

The Dude In Charlies was up for lunch on the green today....he even asked me to pick him up! I did, but he had a little bit of work to finish up before we left....

It's Cold Again

I thought we had hit Spring, but Jasper is letting me know it is cold again....and it is....

I Finally Played BUNCO!!!

After all these years as a Marine wife I finally played Bunco! And won....so probably won't play again! Hahahahaha It was fun so if it happens again I'll play, but I will probably forget by the time it comes around again!!!

Saturday Night Papers & BS

A pretty normal Saturday night for us....the boys and I playing BS while Ed is busily working on a paper for one of his college classes....

Later Ty learned some new card tricks and when Ed finished his paper we watched one of our favorite shows, Stalker. Jasper completely destroyed a ball and the boys loved the bag of Hi-Chews I bought at Costco today. Hi-Chews were a favorite candy we discovered while living in Okinawa. The candy has made its way to America and my kids are thrilled!
