Bella On Her Pillow Step

Bella cracks me up with how tough she thinks she is! Just barking away out the window on while standing on the pillows so she can see out the window! She is currently barking at our neighbors house....the stucco is soooo scared!!!

Bella Got A Shot

Bella has been having some skin issues lately. I thought at first that she had just been bit by something or rubbed against something that had an itchy reaction for her. She kept chewing at this one spot and soon it was a bald spot!!! within a couple of days she was itching all along the base of her back by her tail and along her sides. I was putting ice packs on her as well as cutting leaves off my aloe vera plant and scooping out the aloe and putting that on her skin. In between i was applying neosporn and having her wear her cone. She was NOT happy about her cone!!! after a couple days of only getting worse i made a vet appointment for her. I didn't want to take any chances if we were dealing with a type of mite and the other dogs getting it!!! Turns out the vet thinks she just has some allergies going on so she gave her a shot and said to bring her back if there is no improvement. Later when we got home she was just exhausted!!! So, whatever was in that shot knocked her out!!!

Update, thinking it is allergies since she is itching less and her fur is coming back in!!!!

Bella Has A Hole On Her Head

Sweet Bells has a hole in her head....i had been doing my knee exercises using Jasper's leash and apparently Jasper was not happy about me using it!!! When i finished i had laid it next to me. Bella came over and was sitting next to me giving herself a bath. As she bathed she kinda rolled over a little on the leash. Jasper was on the other side of me, growled and than lunged forward and Bells ended up in his mouth!!! I guess he is very protective of his leash!!! Bella was quite startled and had a head injury for sure! We locked up Jasper and kept an eye on Bella. She was REALLY scared and one of her eyes kept staying closed. About an hour later she seemed completely fine and wanted to go for her walk and was eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing.....so just a hole from a tooth to remind her NOT to get close to Jasper's leash!!!

A Walk In The Neighborhood

Bella had a fun walk in the neighborhood. All the dogs are getting more walks than normal since our backyard is sooo tiny and they refuse to go potty out there!!! Bella loves to sniff everything and she seems to really like walking in the grass and burying her head in bushes!!! I put her in her adorable blue dress tonight. She actually didn't mind!!! I guess she likes to be styling every once in awhile!






It's hard to tell in this picture because the sun is setting, but that is the ocean straight out there! It's a beautiful sight!



Jasper loves his walks to! Especially when he gets to go with his favorite person!

Bella....

Bella and Ed have quite the love/hate relationship. He says he hates her but meanwhile every morning i hear him tap his chest and she comes crawling out from under the covers where she has slept all night next to me and he starts his morning with cuddles with her. If she is sound asleep than i will feel him grab her and slide her over me to him, I actually thought a python was slithering over me one time when he did that! Totally scared the crap out of me!!! This morning when Ed left with the boys she sat on his bag and watched the window as he backed up and than proceeded to lay on his bag the entire time he was gone, except for those times she thought she should run to the door and ferociously bark whenever someone walked by or got in their car! She knows loves her even though he is always plotting her death and/or dissapearance!!  

Morning Beach Walk

The dogs seemed to really like their walk on the beach this morning at potty time. I think Leah is especially happy with this cool 61* weather!!! The squirrels seemed to keep their distance from the dogs!






Found a lone crawdad crawling on the beach. The dogs were not interested at all.

We Are On The Road!

Ed had hoped to be on the road between 9:30 and 10 this morning, and we were off by 10 am! The skies were a beautiful blue and the white fluffy clouds were perfectly placed! It was a gorgeous day in the desert!

I had Bella in my car with Ty and Ed had Ryan in the front seat of the jeep with him and Leah and Jasper in the backseat. Leah immediately let us all know she was not happy with a car ride!



Of course Jasper thought the whole back seat was for him so Leah just squished her hiney in the corner and sat there with the funniest faces!









I wonder if she is having flashbacks to her ride to the airport almost 2 years ago to come out here from NC?!!! She is NOT a fan of flying!!! We waved goodbye to Taylor and Jennifer and we were off! The ride went fine. Bella thought she should sit in my lap the whole time! Crazy girl! I put her bed in the front seat so she could just lay down and relax the whole drive, but nope, she would have none of that! She preferred to be a stress ball the whole time reminding me every minute or so how not happy she was about being in a moving car!!!












It was funny at stop lights pulling up side by side and rolling down the windows so the dogs could see each other. I really wish i knew what went on inside of their heads!!! Their facial expressions are hilarious!!!






Going thru the gate was too funny! Bella had to say hi to the gate guard, lucky for her he likes dogs and lucky for me she didn't growl at the Marine!!!



When we arrived at Camp Pendleton Leah had managed to shed about half of her coat in the jeep as well as leave about a gallon of slobber everywhere! We went straight to housing.  While Ed went in, the boys and i took the dogs out to go potty! We survived the shortest PCS EVER with furry kids!!!   

Scaredy Cats

Jasper and Leah crack me up! They act all tough until the vacuum cleaner comes on and than they are total scaredy cats! They run up the stairs and watch from the safety of the landing while Bella barks her head off and attacks the vacuum cleaner. These pictures show them perfectly during vacuum time.

Smile Bella

Victoria has been missing her sweet Bella. I thought i would take a couple pictures of her to send to Vicki. Bella didn't quite understand the definition of smile, or maybe this IS how she smiles! I'll never know....

Doggie Sun Bathers

Jasper and Bella love to sit in the warmth of the sun. The way our yard is situated the shade comes in quick so these two sit together in their favorite spot. I thought I should get a picture of these two sun bathing.


Do to severe drought conditions the grass has been long gone!!!

Doggie Bath Day!

Jasper and Bella had baths today...what a workout!!! No pictures of Jasper but here is one for Vicki of her Bells after her bath. She really HATES having a bath!! I gave her LOTS of snuggles while she grumbled quite emphatically!

Blowing Burp Air

It looks like The Dude In Cammies is being all sweet to Bells Bells, but don't be deceived!!! He burped and than blew his stinky burp air into her face! I thought Bella might die and so I rapidly clicked thru the CPR steps in my mind, just in case she needed mouth to mouth!

Bella Is Really A Cat!

Yep, i am on to Bella!!! I knew it!!! She is refusing to look at me right now...maybe she is upset that i now know her secret!

They Told Me I Could Be Anything

They told me I could be anything....I chose to be a shark!

Ty was looking at Bella and laughing at how proud she wears her shark costume, like she has become the shark!

The Purge Scared Us All

Ed and I were flipping thru the channels this afternoon while he was icing his knee. The movie The Purge was just starting. We decided to watch it since it was edited for TV. Wellllllllllll, it was STILL totally scary and I couldn't even watch half of it! I think I freaked the dogs out too! Bella was watching intently while laying on Eds chest and Leah backed into the corner and peeked over the couch while watching and letting out little cries. It was quite hilarious watching them!

Just another Thursday in a Marines home! All Marines are charlie on Fridays, so uniform assembly on Thursdays! Bella was very much engaged in watching her Papa put his uniform together! She watched until he was done! She even had a few grumbles to throw in there!

Bella & For Get It

We were playing our new game For Get It and Bella thought she was playing too! It was hilarious! She was so intent on watching every single roll and she would get excited when we got excited or totally sad when someone rolled all three For Get It's!

Doggie Park

Woke up this morning to MUCH cooler weather here in the desert! It was in the 60's!!! Opened all the windows and Ryan and I took the dogs for a walk and a stop at the doggie park. I think they liked having their leashes clipped off and being able to run freely!!! Although Leah acted like she was dying of heat stroke!
