Ed and I were flipping thru the channels this afternoon while he was icing his knee. The movie The Purge was just starting. We decided to watch it since it was edited for TV. Wellllllllllll, it was STILL totally scary and I couldn't even watch half of it! I think I freaked the dogs out too! Bella was watching intently while laying on Eds chest and Leah backed into the corner and peeked over the couch while watching and letting out little cries. It was quite hilarious watching them!
Just a peak into my life as i travel the world, try new things, and enjoy this incredible journey called life!

Sneak Peak: Transformers Age Of Extinction
The base was having a sneak peak of the new Transformers movie tonight.
Malificant was showing at 3:30 so the boys went and saw that while I sat in my chair and read my book. The boys said Maieficant was really good! I can't wait to see it!!!
A storm was rolling in when the boys had gotten out of the afternoon movie. The clouds got really dark and soon the thunder started booming. It was LOUD!!! The lightening was really close so the theater opened up early and started letting everyone in because it was getting dangerous with the lightening! I was the first person in line so we got in and bought our stuff at the consession stand and were seated in our favorite seats right away. Others weren't so lucky. I guess when it started raining it was pouring bucket fulls of water! People were soaking wet! In the bathroom people had their shirts off and were ringing them out over the sinks! I'm glad i missed Malificent and was Super Mom and sat in my chair reading instead!!!

Godzilla
The base had a sneak preview of Godzilla tonight so the boys and i went to see it. We went and had lunch at Panda Express and than they went to the 3:30 movie and i sat in line which wasn't a line yet, so i was at the front and read my book until they got out of the movies. By the time they got out of their movie there was a long line and it was almost time to go in, they were just going to clean up the theater from the afternoon showing. It's nice being at the front of the line on these sneak peaks. I can get right in to the snack bar and get our food while one of the boys gets our seats and than we can just sit and relax and wait instead of waiting in endless lines and trying to find seats together and all the while i got to read my book! The movie was true Godzilla fashion and we totally loved it! The audience did too and there was much applause during the movie. It was a really fun night with the boys!

Panda Express Dinner
The boys wanted Panda Express for dinner tonight before we went to the movies and saw 3 Days To Kill. Soooo, fine by me! Both boys wanted a bowl all to themselves so I I just got a side of noodles since I wasn't starving. Ty didn't want me to take a picture of him, so that was the best I could get to send to The Dude in Cammies.

The Legend If Hercules
The boys and I went to the movies tonight to FINALLY see The Legend of Hercules. They have wanted to see it for awhile and it finally played on a night and time that worked for us! Yep, my eyes were closed for a chunk of it! It was definitely a movie to be seen with The Dude in Cammies!!!! He loves those movies too!!! He is always missed, but just a little bit more than normal tonight while I had my eyes buried in my scarf for all the fighting scenes.....Than we came home and I sent him funny pictures while I waited for Jasper to finish eating, Leah to bark to let me know she was ready to come in from out back, and Tank to meow at the front door to let me know he was ready to come in. He sent me back a picture of Nolan making dinner. Looks good!!!!!

My Torture Has Been Postponed A Week
I took the boys and one of their friends to the movies tonight. It was supposed to be The Legend of Hercules. Not a movie I was looking forward to seeing, but the boys have been wanting to see it. So I I just prepared myself for lots of eye covering.....the movie opens and it seems vaguely familiar with this scenes if London and a ferris wheel.....so I'm thinking maybe there is still one last preview.....than I realize I've seen this movie before and the boys are leaning over questioning this too as well as other movie goers.....I start to wonder if they put in a wrong movie......I had checked the Internet this afternoon to double check the time and movie so I knew I was right. I pulled out my phone and pulled it up and sure enough, it had changed since this afternoon. So annoying! They could have atleast put a sign right there on the window where I bought the tickets so I could have asked the boys!!!! They decided to watch it again since we already paid and were there. I definitely would rather watch a Jack Ryan movie over Hercules!!!! Sooooo, my torture has been delayed for a week. Hercules now plays next Saturday.

The boys and i went and saw a sneak peak of the movie The Monuments Men tonight at The new River air Station. It comes out to the theaters in a couple weeks. It was a really good movie! Ya just kinda forget about all the things that happen during wars, like all the mueseums that get destroyed and the great pieces of art that are stolen or destroyed.....a really good movie. The boys loved it!

Ice Castles
Just another fun little blast from the past! Isn’t it the best when you stumble upon something (enjoyable) from your earlier years? Even better when it only costs 5 bucks! I was wandering thru the DVD section at the PX and like, wow, I found the movie Ice Castles! I bought it. It came out in 1978, I was 10, but I didn’t see it until I was 12. It is one of my favorite movies from way back then. It’s one of those movies that made me wish for a split second that my parents had put me on ice skates instead of throwing me in a swimming pool. But, it was only for a split second, I basically lived in a swimming pool back then with all my training, my nickname was poolia. I watched it a few days ago. It was filmed awhile ago, so a little on the corny side and funky styles, but still entertaining and I will keep it on my old movie favorites list. The closing line is still one of my favorites, “We forgot about the roses”. I used to use that line whenever something didn’t quite go right. That will make no sense to you if you haven’t seen the movie! Yes, I have always been and will forever be a dork! The theme song, Looking Thru The Eyes Of Love, is still one of my favorite songs. I couldn’t wait for the sheet music to come out so I could buy it and learn it on the piano! It took awhile, not like today where I just click a few buttons on the computer and it shoots the pages out of my printer! I kept checking the music store, I did a lot of walking! Ha! It finally came in! I still have that original piece of music, might be the only thing I have from back then! You can still see the puncture marks from my cat who was attacking it one day, the notes I added to it, and the edges are pretty torn and it is taped in a few places……but as long as I can read the notes, it’s good. Just a fun moment from the past relived in the present.

Twilight Arrived!

The most anticipated movie (for me) in my 40 years finally arrived on island! Vicki snagged my Twilight shirt awhile ago, so i bought a hoodie and went to the embroidery shop out in town and just had my own "Twilight" jacket made. I got Team Edward on the back and on the front i had "Every Girl Deserves An Edward" embroidered on there. Yes, i totally love my jacket and it was cold enough to wear it!!! I saw it Friday night with friends and was not dissapointed! It was hillarious when the Cullen's first appeared on screen.........the crowd went crazy and my friends and i were cracking up. Ty and Ryan really wanted to see it, so I took them on Saturday. Ed refused to come see the movie, as anything that even hints on a romance repels him like Superman to Kryptonite! Ty had a scout event to go to on Saturday over at Torri Beach, so the only showing we could fit in was the 6:30 pm one and there just wasn't time to drop off Ed and get back to Kadena for the movie, so he actually ended up having to sit thru it. Ty and Ryan loved it and well, i'll be in the dog house for awhile for making Ed endure that. He kept asking me when it would end....it was a very painful experience for him. LOL

Mama Mia
Vicki and i just finished watching Mama Mia. I was thrilled to unwrap this movie on Christmas!!! I don't think i could ever possibly see this movie too many times! The boys scattered when Vicki and i put it in downstairs. They were suddenly tired and all went upstairs, i'm sure to put on head phones or play xbox or playstation at a nice loud volume to drown out Vicki and I. We sang thru the whole movie! I love the part when she is painting her daughters toe nails, that is soooo me and Vicki!!! She is my only girl and i just dread the day she will be out on her own! She's my side kick and we have soo much fun just being girls! I think that is one of the reasons i love this movie soo much! Girls are soo lucky! We get to jump up and down, giggle, sing, create dance routines, and go crazy! Guys just don't get to do that! I'm sooo glad i am a girl!!! I added all these songs to Vicki's ipod while we watched the movie. It is now almost midnight, so off to bed i go.....singing softly so i don't wake the sleeping Marine who has to be up early tomorrow for work.....
