Another Beautiful Sunset

I love that the boys love to play in the ocean any time of day. I think after dinner is their favorite since they don't have to wear sunscreen! I like it to since we get to watch an ever amazing sunset! Sunsets never disappoint, but watching the sun disappear into the ocean is always it's own kind of beautiful!!!

Bringing The Horses In

Sunday evening....time to bring the horses in! Ole Yeller and Ford are back so when Ed opened the gate for them to head to the stables they started off on track but Ford was leading the pack and he just went all over the place! It is always a beautiful site when they are running together and the sound is amazing! Their manes blow in the wind, dust comes up under their hoofs and their faces just take on a completely different look when they are running free! Even Ryan said, "Wow Mom....that is just really beautiful!" After a few attempts of Ed and Ty on the gator unsuccesfully bringing them in the horses ran back into the pasture and the boys brought the first batch in. Nice they are old enough to help and can do this and than Ed and Ty had the rest run in free.

Ford, Ole Yeller, and Rookie came in running wild and free! Rookie and Ole Yeller went right into their stalls but Ford just kinda threw a tiny fit and than went to his room. These horses melt my heart with their sweet, crazy personalities!

A Dozen Each

I made muffins Sunday evening for Monday's breakfast. Somehow it was determined that Ryan ate FOUR more muffins than Ty! These boys really do keep track of these things!!! Soooo, I made them each a dozen and put them in SEPERATE containers so there wouldn't be anyone getting the short end of the deal. The boys were VERY pleased with this! They just LOVE pumpkin chocolate chip muffins!!!!

Summer Shots!

July 2 Today is Shot Day! The boys each need one shot. The third shot in a series. Than they are free until they turn 16! Neither of them wanted to go but I told them we could go to Panda Express after for lunch. Shots didn't sound quite so bad after that incentive! Those boys LOVE orange chicken!!!!

Ryan was the complete opposite!!! Yep, I still have to hold Ryan's hand as well as hold him down for shots! He is terrified of sharp needles! I asked him if he would rather have dull needles and he said YES!!!! Needless to say, we stuck with the sharp needle....I tried to get him to keep his eyes closed....he was a stubborn fighter but the shot got done with only a couple tears escaping!

Lucky for them they had their electronics to entertain themselves with while we waited for their shot books to get entered into the computer system!

 

Last Lunch In Middle School For Ty

 

I had to go pay the boys final lunch bills. They both owed a couple dollars and so i decided to just zip in the last day of school since i was already off and pay rather than trying to guess the amount. before it didn't matter, i just over paid so they were set when school started but i am not sure if we will be here when school started so i didn't over pay the last time i sent them with checks to school i just kinds guesstimated what it might be and i was just a couple dollars off on the two of them! I took a picture of the menu board so Ty could remember FOREVER what he had on his last day of Middle School for lunch! Somethings you want to remember forever, RIGHT?!!! Later he saw this picture in our photo stream and was like, "Mom!!! Why do you have a picture of our lunch menu in your phone?!!!" I told him he might want to know what he had on his last day of Middle School someday. He shook his head know while laughing and said, "Mom, why would i want to remember the worst food EVER?!!!" Than he and Ryan started telling me all kinds of horror stories about the cafeteria food!!!! Certain dishes ALWAYS had a a hair in it no matter what....unidentified stuff that did NOT like food and on and on. I was pretty sick after all that!!!

Date Night Pandas & Football

I had a Date Night with the boys! They wanted Panda Express which worked well since it is on base and the movie was on base! After Panda Express we headed to the base theater and saw Draft Day. The movie was GREAT but was just so disapointed that there had to be so much language in it. It could have been just as good with a filter.....but i had a fun evening with my boys! I'm going to miss these times when they grow up and leave....they are my buddies....

We laughed about our fortunes. Ryan's was the top one and he said he wished Byron Adolpho would be that person who re-enters our life. He thought that would be sooo fun to see his long lost buddy from Okinawa! I told him that would be sooo fun to see the Adolpho's but they are Air Force and heading to Italy so probably not anytime in the near future.....

Godzilla

The base had a sneak preview of Godzilla tonight so the boys and i went to see it.  We went and had lunch at Panda Express and than they went to the 3:30 movie and i sat in line which wasn't a line yet, so i was at the front and read my book until they got out of the movies. By the time they got out of their movie there was a long line and it was almost time to go in, they were just going to clean up the theater from the afternoon showing.  It's nice being at the front of the line on these sneak peaks. I can get right in to the snack bar and get our food while one of the boys gets our seats and than we can just sit and relax and wait instead of waiting in endless lines and trying to find seats together and all the while i got to read my book! The movie was true Godzilla fashion and we totally loved it! The audience did too and there was much applause during the movie. It was a really fun night with the boys!

Spring Break Begins, Monday

Spring Break has begun!!! It is Monday! Day one at the beach!!!

Boys & Their Comic Books

What is up with boys and their comic books?!!! I went looking for the boys and found them in their room reading comic books! One of which had been in a box of Ty's Honey Nut Cheerios and the other one Ryan had got from a friend at church. I had just gotten off the phone with The Dude in Cammies and he had asked me what the boys were doing and i told him i had no idea and was going to go find them. So, i took a couple pixs so i could send them to him on his phone and make him laugh. We send LOTS of pictures back and forth! Thank goodness for technology!!! Glad the boys like to read all kinds of everything! So, this was tonight's reading!

The Boys Say It Is Tucked Away

I was up really late Saturday night and so i saw the news alert about the Malaysia flight going down and was really sad thinking about how the next day the news would be covering all of those that had lost loved ones and how the Boeing 777 went down; that is one of the top of the notch planes to fly in! When i went to bed a tiny part of me wondered if maybe there had been something else involved other than mechanical. Sunday morning i definitely leaned towards it was NOT mechanical at all.....tonight at the dinner table it was interesting listening to Ty and Ryan. They said the same things that had been on my mind since yesterday! They think someone took the plane and landed it somewhere to be used for something much deadlier in the near future......I know it may sound not right, but i am hopeful that it is found somewhere in the ocean, but everything seems to be pointing to terrorists.....   

Fun At Church

The boys were having fun writing on one of the chalkboards at church....it started as Ty was here....than Ryan was here.....to Julia was here....than ended with Jugia was here......that is how Ty says my name....Jew-jee-uh. Than we took some fun pictures to send to Ed to brighten his Sunday.....

The Legend If Hercules

The boys and I went to the movies tonight to FINALLY see The Legend of Hercules. They have wanted to see it for awhile and it finally played on a night and time that worked for us! Yep, my eyes were closed for a chunk of it! It was definitely a movie to be seen with The Dude in Cammies!!!! He loves those movies too!!! He is always missed, but just a little bit more than normal tonight while I had my eyes buried in my scarf for all the fighting scenes.....Than we came home and I sent him funny pictures while I waited for Jasper to finish eating, Leah to bark to let me know she was ready to come in from out back, and Tank to meow at the front door to let me know he was ready to come in. He sent me back a picture of Nolan making dinner. Looks good!!!!!

My Torture Has Been Postponed A Week

I took the boys and one of their friends to the movies tonight. It was supposed to be The Legend of Hercules. Not a movie I was looking forward to seeing, but the boys have been wanting to see it. So I I just prepared myself for lots of eye covering.....the movie opens and it seems vaguely familiar with this scenes if London and a ferris wheel.....so I'm thinking maybe there is still one last preview.....than I realize I've seen this movie before and the boys are leaning over questioning this too as well as other movie goers.....I start to wonder if they put in a wrong movie......I had checked the Internet this afternoon to double check the time and movie so I knew I was right. I pulled out my phone and pulled it up and sure enough, it had changed since this afternoon. So annoying! They could have atleast put a sign right there on the window where I bought the tickets so I could have asked the boys!!!! They decided to watch it again since we already paid and were there. I definitely would rather watch a Jack Ryan movie over Hercules!!!! Sooooo, my torture has been delayed for a week. Hercules now plays next Saturday.

Haircuts!!!

I don't have 3 girls anymore....we left early tonight for Scouts and my fake girls got haircuts and are now real boys again!!!

Indoor Hill Climbing With The Boys

While i was hill climbing tonight at the gym the boys were climbing together next to me and later Ryan decided to climb with me! I love that they love coming to the gym with me.  It is a favorite family past time.I know the day will come i am going to be at the gym and none of my kids will be there.....it is going to be really sad to look around and not see their cute little heads bobbing around the gym or their faces looking at me with their cute grins when they are next to me with expressions of c'mon Mom, faster!!! It's going to be a sad, sad day....i can hardly stand the thought of it....I'm glad they come with me all the time now!!! 

The Monuments Men

The boys and i went and saw a sneak peak of the movie The Monuments Men tonight at The new River air Station. It comes out to the theaters in a couple weeks.  It was a really good movie! Ya just kinda forget about all the things that happen during wars, like all the mueseums that get destroyed and the great pieces of art that are stolen or destroyed.....a really good movie. The boys loved it!  

Which Wich

Which Wich has finally opened! Vicki has been excited for this quite awhile! They have these in California and she loves these sandwich shops! We decided to check it out o our way to the movies tonight. I wasn’t hungry but Ty and Ryan were starving.  They said it was just okay. They liked the whole ordering your sandwich by picking what you wanted on the bag and all but they were both just like “eh, it’s just like Subway”. Well, Subway is a lot cheaper! So, I’m glad they didn’t become attached! And I am glad they are fine with sandwiches at home!!!

A Cold Court of Honor

Ty and Ryan had a Court of Honor tonight. It was outside. It was very cold. It was VERY cold! That is all i have. It was VERY VERY VERY cold!!!! Ty and Ryan did get some awards....it was cold.....

Show Me The Money

We went out for a late lunch early dinner with the boys to Red Robin.  Ty had the lemon in his mouth and was being silly.  Ed dared him to walk around the restaurant and say hello to everyone with the lemon in his mouth and wave to each table.  He said he would pay him a dollar to each person he said hi to and waved at with the dollar in his mouth.  Ryan double dared him  Ty thought long and hard about it and even practiced at our table.  But, than he chickened out and didn't do it.....

Christmas Caroling

Tonight for Young Mens and Young Womens we teamed up with the Relief Society and Missionaries and went to The Heritage House to deliver treats, stockings, and sing Christmas Carols.  We stuffed the stockings first before heading over there.  One of my friends embroiders their names on the stockings so each resident gets a stocking with their name on it. Ty and Ryan did a great job taking stockings to the different individuals and we would all sing whatever song they requested. It was a fun evening.  When we were getting ready to leave Ryan said, "I feel like i just did the most awesome thing in the whole wide world! They were sooo happy to have us there and that makes me feel sooo good inside! Oh, and Mom, you can scratch everything off my Christmas list. We already have so much.  Just that one video game and nothing else." Yep, nothing feels better than showing your love to others.
