Mother Daughter Twin Day

Vicki and I were cracking up that we were matching without planning on it! We actually have a few matching things but hers are in the moving truck somewhere. So, for the first time in 2016, and on the very last day of 2016, we twinned. Her top is actually a little bit darker but it shows up brighter in the picture.

Jungle Bells

We had tried REALLY hard to get to Jungle Bells at the San Diego Zoo before I had knee surgery, but it just didn't happen. So we went after Christmas. It was really fun. It was light out for a bit and than all the lights came on! It was fun looking for the animals in the dark. Amazing, the Panda was out eating!!! The tiger completely surprised me and walked right in front of me! Could barely even get a picture!!! Later we rode the fun Twinkle Light Trolley thru the park listening to Christmas music and seeing all the fun lights!!! Ed and the kids did not want me on crutches so Ed rented a wheel chair for me and I got to see what it's like being pushed around the park!!! It was like being a kid in a stroller!!! Hahahahaha!!!

They humor me with fun photos!

This guy walked around like he owned the place!

Sooo cute watching the Panda eat!!!

Riding in the trolley listening to Christmas songs

Big game tonight! The guys had something to watch while we waited in line!

Getting the royal treatment being pushed around in my chair!

The beautiful tree!!!

December Pier Walking

Dec 4 2016
It was a beautiful day today. Ed and I decided to go walk the pier after church. My favorite birds were hanging out on their favorite perch. One of the guys that works the tackle sales on the pier fed them a few squids. Later a kid threw a squid and one bird caught it and ate it. He threw a second one and none of the birds wanted it. It was hilarious to watch the seagulls circling overhead wanting it. One was finally brace enough to swoop down and snatch it up! I was just glad to watch all that and leave with no poop in my hair!!! Hahaha

We somehow matched today!

Hoping he doesn't swoop down and poop on me!

Perfect Number Of Pancakes

The cottage cheese pancakes are our favorite. When everyone was at home I would have to multiply the recipe by 4. I now just triple it but decided to double it since Ed is gone, yep, doubling was perfect for Ty and Ryan! Those two boys melt my heart. After they ate they both gave me big hugs thanking me for making the best pancakes ever!

Pumpkin Pie Tester

I decided to make a pumpkin pie today to make sure my recipe is ready for Thanksgiving. It is, was totally delicious!!! Now I just need to make my crust less one. I think it actually tastes better...and I make it in my blender, AND less calories since there is NO crust! I can have ice cream AND whip cream with that one!

Slowly Inching Her Way

We've been trying to get Leah to lay on the dog bed....it has been months in the making!!! She will lay there and just stare at the bed. We've tried to call her over to it a million times. Took forever to just get her to lay her head on it!!! We were thrilled when we finally saw her lay all the way on it!!! She seems to like it.

Skittles & Popcorn

The boys and I are having a movie night and catching up on what we have missed! I picked up the newest X-Men and Star Trek movies. I popped pop corn and once again tried to convince the boys that skittles and pop corn is the best combo!!! They still don't believe me and refuse to try! So I have to have mine in a separate bowl!

Jasper was happy to watch movies!

And Leah actually slept on the doggie bed!!! We've been trying to get her to sleep on it instead of just staring at it or just putting her head on the outer tip of it!!!!

And Bella enjoyed her hammock on Ty's lap!

Than I finally got to watch Me Before You! I haven't finished the book due to I know how it ends....so finally saw how it officially ends. Now I can move into the second book!

Meanwhile At My House....

One could be confused driving thru my neighborhood today.....some house have Halloween up, others a Fall theme, and now Christmas has been added to the decor! Meanwhile at my house, Halloween is out away, Fall is out, and I'm still making Fall decorations. This is my latest one. I stole an autumn gnome from my fairy garden outside because I still can't find an autumn fairy!!! I really want a fairy in here!

I need to find a cute scarecrow! This one I made out of toothpicks, raffia, and some fake leaves I cut up for clothes looks kinda creepy!!!

It looks better in the dark with the lights on, but my phone can't capture it....

This Is What Happens Talking To Victoria

I was on the phone with Victoria, she's three hours ahead of me. Dinner was on her mind and she wasn't sure what to eat. We went over different possibilities and settled on soup....now I'm eating soup....it's for lunch for me, but sounded sooo good after we hung up!

Sleeves Down For Ryan

Now that it is November Ryan no longer has to roll his sleeves for JROTC. He's happy about the no sleeve rolling but not thrilled with wearing long sleeves! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Front Porch Creepies

It is now November and the creepy porch on my walk with Bella is still there! All of October I've had to pass these creepy guys at 5:30 every morning and around 10 every evening night when i walk Bells. She does not appreciate me dragging her by this house extra quick! But they really creep me out and they will be sitting differently each night! It's Nov. 2nd and they are still there.....maybe they will be gone tonight....I'm still such a scaredy cat!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Goodbye To Hallooween For 11 Months

A Surprise Visit From The Marine!

The Dude in Cammies left a few weeks ago for ITX. I guess some stuff wasn't done right by the XO and so he has to come back to his base to get it done right. I bet he is totally bummed to have home cooked meals, a shower, laundry, and his bed to sleep in for a few nights! HAHAHAHA  He got a chunk of work done on Monday and than Monday evening I helped him with the last of the rosters.

We were finally able to sit out front and hand out candy to all our trick or treaters.

It was soooo fun having him home for Halloween since he will be gone next Halloween and last Halloween we were at Ty's away football game, the year before that Ty was gone again for an away game and the year before that the Marine was in Afghanistan.....so this was a fun surprise!!! Next Halloween that the Marine will be home we will only have one kid still in school!!!  Crazy how fast time is going!!! So totally enjoyed having him home this Halloween since it is his VERY favorite holiday!!! Ryan put on Ty's ghillie suit and sat in the rocking chair handing out candy.

The little kids reactions were hillarious! Their Marine dads knew exactly what he was! There were a few little ones he had to take the head piece off so they could be brave enough to get their candy!!! Later Ryan went and hid and jumped out at some big kids. He scared a few and Ty snuck up on Ryan and scared him! It was toooo funny!!! We ended the night watching a VERY creepy Gotham. A super fun day! And of course we stuck with Halloween tradition and ordered pizza!!!!
