Homework Lost

Came into the family room and saw this....I guess homework lost. Ty is sound asleep!!!





Ryan was enjoying having the X-box to himself....


So I took Bella for a walk in one of her Christmas dresses. We had beautiful ocean views on our walk. Totally love where I live!!!

Going To A Trojan Football Game

Ty and I headed out to his old high school to catch a home football game and see Taylor cheer. The traffic was horrible! We should have arrived at 6:30 but didn't get there until 8 pm due to the crazy traffic and endless accidents!!! People need to stop being on their phones and just pay attention while driving! But we made it for second half, thank goodness!!!  Taylor didn't know we were coming so it was soooo funny to see her face when she saw us! She was just tooo cute and she just couldn't control her excitement! In between cheers she ran over and gave us a big hug before running back to her spot. It was fun seeing Jennifer, Daniel, and Robin and others. Ty had fun seeing all of his friends and i didn't see him until after the game. He followed the team back to the locker room and chitchatted with all his friends until it was time to go. Ty and I went with Jennifer, Daniel, Taylor, and Robin to Dennys for a late dinner and to visit some more. It was great seeing them! Than it was time to head back south, but this time there was no traffic so we got home at 1:30. Ryan had stayed home, so we didn't have to walk the dogs when we got home! Thank goodness, because i was tired!!! Ty decided he doesn't want to go back to see any more of their games....he said it was just too sad because he misses his friends and that school.....going back just reminds him how much he misses Silver Valley.....I told him that was fine and if he changes his mind to let me know. I'm glad he had such a great two years at Silver Valley but i feel so bad on how much he misses his old school....the bummer side of being a military brat...





 

Homework Won

I was getting ready for bed and saw this....somewhere in the middle of homework Ty fell asleep. I was looking for Bella....found her! Leah was fading too! I guess homework won tonight!

Track CIF 2016

Ty had his last track meet today. It was in a tiny little town just north of Santa Barbara. There were 40+ schools there. His only event was the 4x100 relay. I thought they did great, their time was the same as their best time they had logged in this season but since they were in the heat with the fastest relay they felt like they got smoked! Their relay team is 2 sophomores and two juniors. Not bad for running against mostly seniors! They came in 31st out of 44 schools with a time of 46.01. We stayed for a chunk of the meet and than Ed and i left around 2:30. We took our time heading home stopping at a few places along the way. It was a beautiful drive along the Pacific ocean for part of the way. Soon we will be living by the ocean again!!! Ty got home around 1:30 in the morning. They stopped at the beach on the way home before they stopped to eat.

Ty Faces His shark Fear For $20!

Today is much warmer and the pool was amazing! Ty decided he would go down the water slide, but not until he had sealed the deal with a $20 cash payment!!! We all had fun going down the slide, but Ty literally just did the two times he was obligated to do. He mumbled something about not wanting to be on the slide if an earthquake hit! He just sat in one of the lounge chairs in the sun while we swam and did the slide. Later the rest of the boys joined him and i went and sat in the wonderful jacuzzi for awhile. Ty and Ryan went up to the room and Ed and i sat poolside and just relaxed, it felt WONDERFUL!!! 

"What floor?" 13 Please

Ty said next time someone asks him 'what floor?' when we get in the elevator he is going to look at them all serious and say, "13." Hahahahahahahahaha, yep no 13th floor in this elevator! 

Pull Ups At The Stables

I was chit chatting with the horses when some movement caught my eye....

If you look beyond the horse you will see someone on the pull up bar....

It was Ty....if there are Marines there is a pull up bar, even at the stables!!!

Happy Birthday Taylor!

This is the first time we've gone to a birthday dinner for a girl that Ty likes! Lucky for him she likes him back! He knew EXACTLY what she wanted for her birthday! I texted her mom to make sure they hadn't already gotten her it. Her mom had no clue! Hahaha! Ty must really like her!!! He bought her the Wreck This Journal book. Needless to say, she LOVED it!!!

Dinner At The Train Tracks

We decided to grab a couple of pizzas and take to the drive in with us.  I left at the same time i've left before to go to the drive in so we wouldn't be too far back in the line. But for some reason tonight there was no line, just us! Ed wanted to have it Marine style and sit out next to the jeep with the pizzas on the hood and just eat grunt style.....we ended up deciding to just drive down the road to the tracks at the Harvey House. Perfect evening to eat pizza along the railroad tracks! Oh, and Ty brought Taylor. Thank goodness she already knows how wacky and impromtu we are!

Ty had just told Taylor to look inside. As she pressed her face against the glass he grabbed her and yelled. He kinda scared her and she smacked him. We all laughed....

Just hanging out at the tracks watching the trains go by....a few went by and each time i got stuck on the letter Q in the alphabet game i play everytime trains go by.

Taylor smiled, Ty said it was impossible to smile while eating pizza! He had to concentrate!

Just a bit windy but a super fun pizza dinner at the railroad tracks!

Ran Right Out Of His Shoe!

There was no seminary this morning so the boys got to ride the bus today! It was just a bit chilly at 57* and Ty was a little cold. I told him he had time to run back to the house and so he did. In fact he ran sooooo fast he ran right out of his shoe!

But when he came back for his shoe with his jacket he let me take a picture of him.

Just another school day....

A beautiful morning here in the desert! And we do live really close to the bus stop!!! 

National Homemade Cookies Day

When I was driving the kids home from football and cheerleading they were talking about it being National Homemade Cookies Day..... Later that night Ty and Taylor were texting back and forth and decided they wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. Sooooo, Taylor found a recipe and Ty had her on speaker phone and later on FaceTime while she gave him directions and he made the cookies. Teenagers are hilarious!!!! The cookies turned out delicious!

Ty got our every single ingredient! I don't think my counters have ever looked like this before!

Ty originally only wanted to make 12 and than eat the rest of the cookie dough....

I made him make all the dough into cookies....he did eat some cookie dough though....and didn't get sick!

Taylor was with us either on speaker phone or on facetime.

YUM!!!

Click Quickly!

Just about impossible to get pictures of this guy! Just wanted to get a quick memory of him leaving for an away game. Instead he accused me of non stop taking pictures of him. I reminded him it was Friday and that was the first picture I had taken of him ALL week!!! He said, Ohhhhhh.

Bringing The Horses In

Sunday evening....time to bring the horses in! Ole Yeller and Ford are back so when Ed opened the gate for them to head to the stables they started off on track but Ford was leading the pack and he just went all over the place! It is always a beautiful site when they are running together and the sound is amazing! Their manes blow in the wind, dust comes up under their hoofs and their faces just take on a completely different look when they are running free! Even Ryan said, "Wow Mom....that is just really beautiful!" After a few attempts of Ed and Ty on the gator unsuccesfully bringing them in the horses ran back into the pasture and the boys brought the first batch in. Nice they are old enough to help and can do this and than Ed and Ty had the rest run in free.

Ford, Ole Yeller, and Rookie came in running wild and free! Rookie and Ole Yeller went right into their stalls but Ford just kinda threw a tiny fit and than went to his room. These horses melt my heart with their sweet, crazy personalities!

Middle School Football to Varsity Football

This kid has grown up a LOT in the last couple of years. 2013 was Ty's first middle school game and 2015 was his first Varsity game. Time is going by so fast!!!

Sometimes I End Up With Friends I Don't Even Want!

Ty and Ryan were talking about making friends again when we move and we were saying how that would suck if Ty had to go to a new school his senior year and start all over again. He laughed and said, "it wouldn't be hard because everyone just thinks I'm really nice and so people just always start talking to me.....Sometimes I end up with friends I don't even want!" That had us all laughing....yes he will be fine if he moves his senior year! 

The Hershey Guy

Ty: I'm forever going to hold the Hershey guy against you guys. 

Me: What?

Ty: Dad said he'd give me 20 bucks to tackle the Hershey guy and I wish I would have!

Me: I'm sure we'll be in Vegas again Ty.

Ty: Wow, that's not really an answer a mom would give, like something I should have on video or something.

I'm In Love

Ty: I'm in love!!!

Yep, that is what he said after tasting his mint chocolate milk shake he made for himself after football practice....and it was a GIANT milkshake that he had to put in in the GIANT Tun Tavern mug!

Ty & Two Dogs Sitting On The Floor

This was just too cute! Both big dogs sitting with Ty...i got a quick picture, and it always has to be quick with my people! Hands fly up to cover their faces at lightning speed, well even faster than lightening! But i think Ty was just too tired and wow, both dogs are even looking at me!

He Loves Me

I was taking some pictures and asked Ty to hold my purse. He sure must love me!!!

He even found a new way to carry it to keep his hands free!
