Farewell Kwajalein House

The traditional picture as we leave another government house we made into home. The Kwajalein house was our home for 27 1/2 months. A lot of good memories in this house! We arrived with three children and are leaving with two. Vicki moved out December of 2014 and got married in 2015. I wonder how many kids we will have when we leave our next house?!!! Our family keeps shrinking each move! I'm feeling kinda old right now!!!

Easter Bottle Search

The boys were not excited about an egg hunt this year so I decided to buy them their favorite bottled soda and hid the bottles. They weren't to thrilled with this idea either but I think they will be happy with their soda and candy once they are more awake!

Moving Buttons

Buying cammies is just getting ridiculous! They seem to keep changing contracts which makes it sooo hard to find matching sets, like the tops and bottoms seem to be made by different companies using different shades of cammie material. Ed matches and matches and matches for like EVER until he finds a set closest in shade. Our newest dilemma is the buttons. He bought 2 new pair, went to put them on and they were super tight! He took them off and looked at the bottoms and realized they were sewn way over to the far side. He was thrilled when I told him I could fix them!

EARLY Morning Track Meet Departure

I guess it's hard to smile when you have to be at school at 5:30 am on a SATURDAY!!! Actually this is about how they always look when I ask to take a picture!!! Ty and Ryan have a track meet today with 27 schools and 1300 athletes! Gonna be a long, fun day! Go Trojans!!! Their high school only has about 340 students so they will probably have the smallest track team there!!! I hope the boys remember to put on the sunscreen I gave them to take!!!!

Doggie Sun Bathers

Jasper and Bella love to sit in the warmth of the sun. The way our yard is situated the shade comes in quick so these two sit together in their favorite spot. I thought I should get a picture of these two sun bathing.


Do to severe drought conditions the grass has been long gone!!!

Sad Jasper Face

Jasper gets so sad that he can't get up on the couch like Bella. I honestly think he has no clue that it has to do with his SIZE!!! Tonight he plopped down in dismay on one of the couch pillows. He clearly wears his feelings on his face and he definitely made sure to let us know how rejected he was feeling!!! I don't think that dog could hide how he felt if his life depended on it!!! But boy do we love him!!! Even when he's pouting!

Exhausted Jasper

The boys had been wrestling and Jasper had gotten all excited, concerned, etc so afterwards he was all out breath and exhausted from taking all sides! He is sooo funny! He slowly climbed up on the couch to see if anyone was going to say anything. When all was silent he plopped down and happily enjoyed Ryan's lap!

Doggie Bath Day!

Jasper and Bella had baths today...what a workout!!! No pictures of Jasper but here is one for Vicki of her Bells after her bath. She really HATES having a bath!! I gave her LOTS of snuggles while she grumbled quite emphatically!

Christmas Is Still Up

It is January 3rd and Christmas is still up.....I really need to get my Christmas decorations put away!!! I did great and had the tree down and all those decorations packed away on Christmas Day. Thannnnnnnnnnn, I left for a week and I have got to find the time to pack the rest of this away!!! If we weren't moving this summer it would be a LOT easier but now I have to pack everything ready for the movers in June....I think Tuesday will be the day....we will see!

Ran Right Out Of His Shoe!

There was no seminary this morning so the boys got to ride the bus today! It was just a bit chilly at 57* and Ty was a little cold. I told him he had time to run back to the house and so he did. In fact he ran sooooo fast he ran right out of his shoe!

But when he came back for his shoe with his jacket he let me take a picture of him.

National Homemade Cookies Day

When I was driving the kids home from football and cheerleading they were talking about it being National Homemade Cookies Day..... Later that night Ty and Taylor were texting back and forth and decided they wanted to make chocolate chip cookies. Sooooo, Taylor found a recipe and Ty had her on speaker phone and later on FaceTime while she gave him directions and he made the cookies. Teenagers are hilarious!!!! The cookies turned out delicious!

Ty got our every single ingredient! I don't think my counters have ever looked like this before!

Ty originally only wanted to make 12 and than eat the rest of the cookie dough....

I made him make all the dough into cookies....he did eat some cookie dough though....and didn't get sick!

Taylor was with us either on speaker phone or on facetime.

YUM!!!

The Flag Was Being Lowered

I had zipped inside to grab something while Ed and Ty were heading to the car. When I opened the door this is what I saw....it will be odd to not be doing this at random times when we happen to be in the in between of coming and going during flag ups and flag downs. Will definitely miss this when our base housing days are no longer a part of our life.

Ryan Can Fall Asleep Fast!

Ryan crawled into my bed while I was washing my face. That kid can crash fast! He was sound asleep and purring when I kicked him out the bed!

Bella was all comfy too!

I Ate ALL The Brownies

I made a giant pan if yummy brownies last night. I told the boys of the house they couldn't have any until the next day because they wouldn't be cooled down before bedtime. Tonight at dinner I told them that I ate all the brownies today, that I just couldn't resist and kept cutting pieces off throughout the day until they were all gone. They were sad, Ty especially....Ryan went searching for them. I told them I was just kidding and had made them into Cookie Dough Brownies and they were in the fridge. Yummy dessert tonight!!!!

Ease On Up

I was sitting down for a minute and Jasper just very slowly eased himself up on the couch....he acted like he didn't think I would notice!

Everyone Is Jaspers Pillow

If you lay down on the floor, Jasper just automatically thinks you are there just for him, his own personal pillow! We have accepted this.

Early Mornings At Our House

As we were pulling out the drive way this morning heading out to seminary we could see The Dude Soon To Be In Cammies get his uniform ready....sounds lame but it was such a sweet site...I'm sure the dogs were all sprawled out on the floor around him....

Mom Can Beat Us All

The boys were talking about swimming and how I am the best swimmer of the family. The boys were saying how none of them could beat me. Ed says, "I've beat Mom before!" Ty and Ryan both laughed and said, "NO WAY!!!" Ed says that he did beat me before and I said, "I must have been pregnant!!!" Ed laughed and said, "yes you were!!!" We laughed and he said it was the Miramar pool. I laughed and said I had to have been almost 9 months pregnant at that pool. He said I was and that he has to take whatever advantage he can get racing me in a pool! We teased Ryan telling him he was the one that gave dad the advantage because I had an actual human being hanging out inside my tummy causing some serious drag!!!
