Future Career Options

I think Ed might make a great preacher for his second career! He practiced welcoming the empty seats to his first event.

I could be in charge of decorations....looks simple enough....

But I think he would rather be doing this for his next career!!!!

And I'm always fine with anything the involves the ocean and sand in my toes!!!

Bella....

Bella and Ed have quite the love/hate relationship. He says he hates her but meanwhile every morning i hear him tap his chest and she comes crawling out from under the covers where she has slept all night next to me and he starts his morning with cuddles with her. If she is sound asleep than i will feel him grab her and slide her over me to him, I actually thought a python was slithering over me one time when he did that! Totally scared the crap out of me!!! This morning when Ed left with the boys she sat on his bag and watched the window as he backed up and than proceeded to lay on his bag the entire time he was gone, except for those times she thought she should run to the door and ferociously bark whenever someone walked by or got in their car! She knows loves her even though he is always plotting her death and/or dissapearance!!

Rookie Ride

It's been awhile since The Dude On A Horse has ridden Rookie. He's been having to work a lot with Ford. Today he decided to take Rookie out. They had a great ride, like they've never missed a day riding. Rookie knows his every move and what to do. Rookie looked really happy!

Ford Therapy

It was a tough weekend. Saturday was spent with Vietnam veterans and the mobile Wall That Heals and than Sunday morning Ed found out another one of his (Marine) friends committed suicide. Going to the stables was exactly what he needed. Ford did everything flawlessly and they had a nice ride in the desert. Best therapy there is......

Taking Ford out to saddle up and do groundwork.

All done and heading back in......

He just puts the rope over his shoulder and Ford obediently follows him to his stall without batting an eye.

Money Writings

Ed had written on a $5 bill of Vicki's. She said she was never going to spend it so I had Ed write on a $1 bill so she could keep that forever instead of the $5 bill. Hahahaha

Animal Crackers In My Soup

Vicki LOVED those VHS sing along videos when she was little. She was always singing and dancing around the house. The Shirley Temple 'Animal Crackers In My Soup' was Vicki's favorite and I would rewind that song over and over for her. I can still hear her singing that song in her sassy little girl voice. Ed saw the animal crackers at the Comissarry the other day. Soooo, it was the perfect snack to send her off with!

Blowing Burp Air

It looks like The Dude In Cammies is being all sweet to Bells Bells, but don't be deceived!!! He burped and than blew his stinky burp air into her face! I thought Bella might die and so I rapidly clicked thru the CPR steps in my mind, just in case she needed mouth to mouth!

Gear Testing

I just never know what i am going to find going on when i come home! Today it was Ed testing out different gear to see what he was going to take with him next week. Bella was testing out with him. Jasper was VERY upset he wasn't allowed to test out this piece of gear!!!
Ed decided on the tent....now to just find a cot! We've seemed to have lost those when arriving to this duty station. Jasper was still upset about not being allowed in his masters sleeping quarters!!!

Hat In Training

Ed has seen this hat when we were in NC but had no idea what it meant, he just liked it. While at the Desert Mavericks game he realized that was where the hat came from, so he happily bought himself one. Now it is in training on the piano getting its bill just right.

After Surgery Drive Home

Ed could not stay awake for longer than a few minutes at a time. It was sooo funny! He would ask me something and than be snoring before I could answer.
Ed was starving and the thought of jello, sprite, and soup broth was a no go to him! So we stopped at In N Out and he got a Protein Burger. He was happy with his lettuce wrapped burger and thank goodness it didn't make him sick!!!

Knee Fix Time

The time finally came to go back....
Lots of papers to sign....

The cool blue slippers are put on....

The endless questions asked....

The knee was marked

The funny faces while waiting....

Resting, Making a 'Vicki' face, and playing with his hat....

The many ways to wear the blue hat....

Time to shave!

Getting the knee prepped...

IV going in!

The cocktail was delivered and kicking in...

He's out and OUT!!!!

Took over an hour to wake him up! He was infatuated with his nose!!!

It took awhile for him to stay awake.....

The fixed knee is under wraps for 3 days

Here he comes! Time to go home!!!
