Food Aversion

Vicki had a doctors appointment today and is now a little more relaxed about how she can't eat very much. I told her the mermaid was fine and she was eating enough, but now that her doctor said it she's not as stressed.

Money Writings

Ed had written on a $5 bill of Vicki's. She said she was never going to spend it so I had Ed write on a $1 bill so she could keep that forever instead of the $5 bill. Hahahaha

Animal Crackers In My Soup

Vicki LOVED those VHS sing along videos when she was little. She was always singing and dancing around the house. The Shirley Temple 'Animal Crackers In My Soup' was Vicki's favorite and I would rewind that song over and over for her. I can still hear her singing that song in her sassy little girl voice. Ed saw the animal crackers at the Comissarry the other day. Soooo, it was the perfect snack to send her off with!

Vicki's Last House As Our Daughter At Home

We will probably be moved the next time Vicki comes home so we took a picture of the last house she lived in as a Military Brat before she graduated to a Military Wife. It's quite an interesting and unique feeling thinking that this was her last home as 'the kid living at home". There is a song, The House That Built Me, the kids still refer to our Kishaba House on Okinawa as that house, the house that built them....that is still my favorite house.

I Don't Want To Go!

We left this morning at 9 to meet Grandma at Kingsberg to drop Vicki off with her. Vicki is flying out of Sacramento so we met Grandma at the half way mark. Vicki was just crying when we took the exit and actually threw a little tantrum....I even have it on video! The child that couldn't wait to leave home was sitting in the backseat bawling her eyeballs out....she wanted to stay....talk about a tough goodbye!!!! As a parent you just want your children to be happy and it's hard when you have to watch them struggle. She really hates her quiet house but she's almost to the half way mark of Adrian coming home!!!

Looking at Vicki in the backseat throwing her little fit, it was like looking at the little Vicki I knew....was really hard to not cry!!!!

But she got into Grandmas van and was off.

She's in good hands! Ed and I stopped at Black Bears Diner and had a beyond loaded caloric breakfast/lunch/dinner! Talk about delicious!!! There were carved bears everywhere that reminded us of New Bern NC. We sent Vicki some pictures to help cheer her up.

Vicki Got Brave

Vicki loves her phone, soooo, when she acts up, she looses her phone! Ed wanted to take her for a ride on his bike, but she's been too scared, so one day he offered to give her back her phone if she went for a ride with him. She really wanted her phone back, so she begrudgingly began putting on everything needed to go for a ride. She came back and said it was sooo fun! Now, she has her Dad take her everywhere on the bike!
