Math Night With Ty
It's Math Night at Ty's school.....the introduction to Common Core and what he will be learning this year and the whole time he is at Silver Valley High School. They also are serving us dinner. My lucky night!
He's such a cute kid!
Pretty soon he is going to be as tall as his Dad!!!
Ty is wearing his Dads boots and a shirt Jorden left
behind that Jorden wore when he was in high school!
It's a pizza dinner night and it isn't even the weekend! These boys are happy!
I don't like to draw blocks! I just write out the numbers
and draw lines!
But Ty drew out all the blocks for us! Yay for when
they came by to check our work!

Lunch At Ruby's!
Wow!!! It has been a VERY, VERY LONG TIME since we walked the pier to eat at Ruby's!!!! When we first moved into our Parker House on Camp Pendleton and would walk the pier we were just a poor Lance Corporal family making basically nothing. We just thought Ruby's was an expensive restaurant and we never dared even open the door! One day as a Corporal family I guess we were feeling a little braver and opened the door. We were just going to look at the menu.....WELL!!!!! When we looked inside we gasped and started cracking up!!!! It was a 50's Diner!!!! Yeah, we ate there, lots of times! The first place I ever heard of a chocolate coke! It was delicious!!!
Yesterday ooops, I mean yesterYEARS.......Spring 1999...

Snow Day 2
I was making funny faces for The Dude in Cammies who happened to be in the desert while we were having snow days.....yep, he was just a bit jealous....me out in the backyard with my phone taking selfies in the snow and sending them to him who was standing outside in the desert with nothing but sand and rocks....

Last Morning Together
It's our last morning together for awhile.....we had family prayer together, than a quick family picture before we all scattered. It was funny listening to the kids. They were like, OK, this is no big deal, just 5 months....we are all in America.....only a 3 hour time difference.....Dad isn't getting shot at......or driving over IED's......
Than it was time for me to drive 'solo' (Ryan's most un favorite word) to work. Ed had started my car up for me, so she was all nice and toasty warm for me.....but sooo sad to be riding by myself and knowing coming home The Dude in Cammies will no longer be here...

Last Date
We went out on our last date. Tomorrow he leaves, again....this time for a long time.....a REALLY long time...but atleast he won't be getting shot at or driving roads where he can get blown up....he should have air conditioning and heat and be able to choose what he wants to eat, so that is good! The housing market has totally crashed wear we live so it's not like we can just pack up and follow him to his next duty station. We are stuck here in the house he built us. There are 6 houses empty on our street. Our house will make number 7. It is a 2 year duty station. Thank goodness it is only a 2 year duty station!!! Maybe the market can turn around and we can sell and break even by than. I am hoping so! This is NOT where i want to live forever and ever. I screamed and hollered, stamped my feet and all but threw myself on the floor trying to talk him out of buying a house because of this very thing. It is just a VERY big piece of baggage when it comes time to PCS. I told him this was not the time to buy back in 09. I begged him to take base housing!!!! This is EXACTLY what i did NOT want to be dealing with when orders came. I've listened to wives complain about this very thing for YEARS!!! I told him when it came time to move someday that he would have to be the one to deal with realtor's and everything involved in taking care of renting a house. That i wanted absolutely NO part in it!!! He promised he would or the kids and i would stay and he would go. But, nope. Here i am. Stuck doing everything and yelled at if i don't do something or don't do something right or fast enough. i didn't want this house because of all of this!!!! I would LOVE to be packing up and moving to a new location but it gets tricky when you have something as big as a HOUSE when you need to move 3,000 miles away and can't sell it or find someone to rent it. So, the kids and i will stay atleast to the end of the school year and we will decide from there. I think the kids and should stay here and he should fly home once a month and visit and that way i keep my job and and we don't risk someone destroying our home or moving out and it sitting empty or destroying it and not paying the rent either. I just don't see taking the gamble of going into financial ruin for an 18 month move. I am hoping he sees things just as clearly since he was so dang adamant on building this house and his words were if orders came and we couldn't rent than "i will go and you and the kids will stay here". Which i told him way back in 2009 wasn't fair and that he better hope those orders weren't overseas because i would be totally ticked off at him if he leaves us behind for an awesome duty station!!!! Which i am a little irked that we are being left behind for California, that is home for me, but financially the kids and i need to stay here. It makes no sense to go move somewhere for 18 months with a super high chance of financial ruin and going somewhere with a 13% unemployment rate. Getting a job is pretty much out of the question.....so my income is gone.....we probably won't be able to rent the house for what our mortgage is, so another loss there....sooooo last date night for awhile.......we smiled, we laughed, and i hope he doesn't know how flippin' mad i am!!!!

She Takes My Seat
Ed and Vicki drop me off to work in the mornings. As soon as i get out of the jeep Vicki jumps into my seat up front. She cracks me up. I would stay in the back if it was me! I always take a quick picture of me and Mr. Grouchy so i have his beautiful grumpy face to look at all day! Than they head off to the gym and wherever else they decide to go while i work......i keep thinking they are going to bring me lunch one day.....nope, no such luck yet....maybe once before he leaves.....maybe just once.....but i doubt it....i think he is telling me i don't need the extra calories....and i don't! I'm a big hefer these days!!!!

He said his lips were chapped and asked if i had anything.....i had my red ball chapstick....
He opened it VERY discreetly....
He probably thinks nobody knows what he is doing....
He's laughing....I'm laughing....time for dessert!!!

No More Yard Work 'Till Spring 2014!
Sooo excited that the last cut of the season is done!!! I tease The Dude in Cammies on how he was the one that wanted a big yard, but somehow i am the one that ends up taking care of it!!! Hmmmmmm.....i guess i would want a big yard too if i never had to do the work!!! Anyways.......the last cut has been done and he might never have to cut this grass again! he will be gone before Spring comes and might only ever be back to just help me pack out! But the front porch is ready for when he does get back. We will sit out there on our rockers, me with my hot chocolate and him with his hot cider. Can't wait!!!

Ending Tradition
Getting our tags for the jeep every year is a pain!!! It has California plates. The tags are due in July. I pay in July, EVERY year! The check always clears in July. But, tags take forever to come.....This year they arrived in October. I happened to remember to put the tags on the jeep the day they arrived. I usually forget this step and just put in the glove box and every year The Dude in Cammies gets pulled over for expired tags. NOT this year! That tradition has ended and tags are on the jeep!!!
