Raining In The Field

Sept 20th
Wow! This is the first rain fall we've had since we moved here in June! It actually rained for like 4 hours!!! But of course it would rain, The Dude In Cammies is sleeping out in the field this week!!! Haha

Back To School Supplies

Today was Back To School Brigade. We zipped over and picked up all the school supplies for the boys. One of the perks of a little base is all the school supplies are provided! Nice!!! The Dude In Cammies met us over there. Afterwards he walked back to his office and we pretended we were spies and stealthily followed him in the jeep. I'm sure he had no idea he was being tabbed. We probably watch waaaay too much Burn Notice. We dubbed Ed 'The Tall Guy'. We have a funny video too. Life in the desert...we get bored easily and play in the land of make believe.....

And how often is your kids orientation in a chapel?

Always Get His Back Side!

I always seem to get his back side.....or a hand over my camera....even when I think I am being sly with my phone.....he just keeps spinning around, and here is a perfect example of how hard I have to work to get a picture of his front side!

I zipped by the stables on my way home from work and look who I ran into! always LOVE running into him! Not sure if he feels the same! Hard to tell by his face! Ha! Always sooo serious! Getting all the last minute everythings done before the rodeo!

3 More Years + One...

Dry Cleaners From Years Ago...

It was just like wow to be driving down these streets of Oceanside today.....these were the streets we were on regularly, atleast once a week and usually more often than that between the hair cuts, picking up dry cleaning, and just zipping around as young Marines and their families do......It was just quite a unique feeling to see my now much older Marine carrying one of his uniforms into one of the dry cleaners he used to go to with a child we hadn't even thought about yet following right behind him.....yes, it was a look back and smile kinda moment, and I ain't gonna lie, my smile also had some misty eyes too.....but I wear great big sunglasses so nobody noticed.....but wow.....it seems like yesterday that cammies were dry cleaned.....and we as well as all Marines were always on these little side streets at the many dry cleaners dropping off and picking up cammies....endless cammies....it was one of my 'W" jobs. I hadn't earned my I or F yet, still waiting on my E!!!! Back in the day the wife's ID card had a W on it and The Dude In Cammies lovingly referred to me as the "W" Gosh......seems like yesterday and a life time ago all smooshed together......

Moving Across Time Zones

I had been setting a new clock on my phone as The Dude In Cammies made his way across the globe to come see us for his R&R!!!! He is finally in Atlanta and on East Coast time! Thank goodness! My screen is out of room!

Carpooling With The Dude In Cammies

I got to ride to work with The Dude In Cammies 3 times this week!!! THREE!!!  WOW!!! We have NEVER been able to commute together and probably never will again....but it's been fun while it lasted!!!
