Bella Has A Hole On Her Head

Sweet Bells has a hole in her head....i had been doing my knee exercises using Jasper's leash and apparently Jasper was not happy about me using it!!! When i finished i had laid it next to me. Bella came over and was sitting next to me giving herself a bath. As she bathed she kinda rolled over a little on the leash. Jasper was on the other side of me, growled and than lunged forward and Bells ended up in his mouth!!! I guess he is very protective of his leash!!! Bella was quite startled and had a head injury for sure! We locked up Jasper and kept an eye on Bella. She was REALLY scared and one of her eyes kept staying closed. About an hour later she seemed completely fine and wanted to go for her walk and was eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing.....so just a hole from a tooth to remind her NOT to get close to Jasper's leash!!!

Swimming In The Sea For 7 Days

I thought it would be fun to take a swim in the ocean every day for a week. I haven't done this since Okinawa! I love living so close that i can just zip over and dive in! 



Monday July 25th 

Day One 

Today for day one i went in the afternoon. The boys said they didn't want to go....so i went without them and had a great time!





For dinner tonight i ordered pizza and we ate at the beach. Ty and Ryan dove into the waves after dinner for about an hour and a half! I watched them and caught pokemon while they were playing in the sea!

Birthday Dinner At The Beach

My birthday weekend was pretty busy so tonight i told the boys dinner was on the beach whether they liked it or not! Ty and Ryan each had their own pizza and Ed and i shared this yummy hawaiian pizza! One of my VERY favorite dinners at one of my VERY favorite places!!! AND!!!! NO DISHES!!!!

Champagne Cake For Me

Well.....it was a success!!! If i could make pretty cakes i would go into business....but atleast we all get yummy cakes in this house!!! I ended up melting my pink chocolates and than putting them in the fridge to harden and than grated the chocolate with my carrot peeler to put the pink chocolate shavings over the frosting. The recipe called for a custard filling but i wasn't sure if the boys would like it so i also made a champagne cheesecake filling. Ed tried both and said to go with the cheesecake one, so i used that. The champagne frosting was soooo good to!!! My birthday cake was a complete success but i will continue to look for someone who makes it!!! Of course the boys LOVED it!!!!  Thank goodness since it was like a 5 hour cake to make!!!

Attempting To Make A Champagne Cake

I wanted a Champagne cake for my birthday.....i called every single bakery in about an hour radius....unfortunately nobody makes them and i didn't have time to drive up to Northern California to pick one up! I looked at several recipes and decided to make one intermixing a few recipes together. Ed had gone out with me earlier to buy everything i would need. I got busy right after lunch....

I Found My Favorite Flip Flops

There is a certain type of flip flop that i just LOVE!!! I found them in a shop in Wilmington NC and would buy a pair every time we went there, which was only once or twice a year. The flip flops literally last forever!!! Mine had been fading in Barstow, some were over 5 years old and i was getting sad and actually thinking about having Vicki drive to Wilmington and pick me up like 4 pairs of different colors!!! I went to the Farmers Market in Oceanside and lucky me there was a booth there with a lady selling my favorite flip flops!!! Sooo, every Thursday this summer when i am at the Farmers Market i have been picking up a new pair of flip flops! I'm just going to pick up one or two more pairs and i will be set for the next 5 years atleast!!! I know i want a blue pair to wear with jeans and maybe a turquoise pair,,,,

Ocean Swimming With Ryan

Ryan decided to join me for my afternoon swim in the sea. We had sooo much fun out there bouncing and diving into the waves. We spent over two hours having a blast in the ocean. We took a beating, those waves were on the ferocious side today, but oh so worth it!!!

This was a picture we were sending to Vicki. The boys have fun making funny faces when the pix is for her!

I No Longer Stand In Back!

This photo from the Battleship NC showed up in my Time Hop today from 5 years ago. Funny that we happened to be on another ship on the opposite coast today! The boys have definitely grown in the last 5 years!!! I no longer stand behind them!!!!

The Hat

Ed has been wanting to get a hat like this for awhile now.....but he always changes his mind and doesn't get it. Today as he was trying on hats I joked with him about how since we lived in vacation land he should start dressing like he's on vacation. So, he has finally decided to get the hat! It looks great! And now he looks like he is on vacation like everyone else here!!!!
