My Sparkly Car!

When I left for work it was a nice chilly 16 degrees outside!  My car looked sooo pretty!!!  The picture does NOT do it justice!  It was all sparkly and shimmery!  I wish I could get a paint job just like it looked in the dark morning light of my outside lighting…….sigh…..

Posting Guard

Last night Vicki read this message she got on her phone about how if you hear banging on your house at night to not go outside because it is this group of thugs going around trying to lure people out of their houses so they can attack them outside and then go in their house to rob them.  She was scared and told us and the boys.  The boys loaded up all their weapons and put their knives in easy access places.  Vicki decided to sleep with them and dragged a mattress into their room and took Bella.  They took Jasper and posted him on guard.  This is the view from Vicki’s phone sleeping on the floor looking up at the bottom bunk, Ryan’s where Jasper sat duty for the night!  These kids are too cute!  We told them all would be fine, people like that do NOT pick houses with vehicles that show that a Marine lives there let alone a neighborhood filled with Marines and our alarm system is awesome if anyone tried to break in.  But, they all still slept together and nobody came and Jasper did his job sitting guard.

We Can Dive Again!!!

My dive buddy has been looking for his card since we got here! Tonight it was found in the garage!!! We can dive again!!!

Christmas Treats!

My brother sent us some yummy treats from Mrs. Fields! He was with us last Christmas and remembers how much i was baking, so this year he thought he would free up some of my time in the kitchen! There were sooo many yummy treats from cookies to fudge to popcorn to taffy! YUM!!! Thank you Monte!!!

I've Never Run So Fast!!!

We were talking about the houses being built across from us and Ty is telling us how he was hiding in a chimney with one of his friends while a realtor was showing one of the houses and another time how he was upstairs in a house when a Realator showed up with someone to show the house to and so he and his friend jumped from the second floor window and ran and had to dive in trashcans to hide. He said "I've never run so fast in my life!!!" ......so we had a talk about going into vacant houses....and to not tell us anything else just stay out of the houses!!!!! Glad this was a long time ago!!!!

Dinner Over The Fire

We had a bonfire tonight and so i made my dinner over the fire! It was delicious!!! It started to sprinkle a little so i just sat under my umbrella. It was a wonderful evening!!!

Christmas Wardrobe

Bella saw me laying out all her Christmas clothes and she ran out of the room sooo fast!  It was too cute!!! Time to pack away her Christmas clothes. Just gonna keep her sweater out for now.

Lone Army Man

For a couple of decades now i have been finding Army men around the house when i am putting things away. Today there was a lone Army man under the Christmas Tree skirt. It is going to be a really sad day when i no longer find Army men laying around the house in odd places....

New Christmas Guns

The boys got some new guns and ammo for Christmas.....they had fun trying out them out....happy boys!!!

The Constitution Quest

We got this great game for Christmas from my family! We are on a quest to learn all about our Constitution and all the branches of our Government. We think we know a lot......we shall see......

Just Us & The Christmas Lights

Ed and i were out zipping around and when we were heading home we realized we were the only ones out in our tiny little downtown. We stopped on the side of the road and just looked at the Christmas lights and laughed that there was nobody out in our itty bitty town!

I Only Wanted Jammies!

My husband knows me sooooo well!!!!  I only wanted ONE thing for Christmas!!! A pink pajama top! He got it for me! And than he threw in some new Bama jammie bottoms! Yep, he knows me sooo VERY well!!!! Life is good!!!

Christmas Eve 2013

The weather worked out for us so we had a bonfire out back for Christmas Eve. We had out hot chocolate and Ed read "Twas The Night Before Christmas". Monte read it for us last year since he was visiting and Ed was in Afghanistan. It was a perfect night. We read the Christmas story from the bible right before everyone to went to bed.... 

New Converse!!!

We were running around doing some shopping today and we found some converse in Ed's size in the color and style he has been looking for. he was soooo excited he had to put them on right after we bought them and than run around the parking lot trying them out! He is my forever kid refusing to grow up, except for when he is at work, than he is forced to be a grown up, so i don't mind him enjoying the simple things of life like running around  a parking lot testing out his new high top converse when his job requires him dodging bullets and people trying to kill him! I love seeing that boyish grin that comes out every once in awhile. The Taliban and all the rest of the evil doers of the world haven't completely taken over his soul!  

Tank Went Christmas Shopping!

I guess Tank is in the Christmas spirit too! He left us a beautiful Christmas gift on the front porch this morning. Apparently it was only for me since i was the one who cleaned it up! Thank you Tank!!!

Window Screams

Vicki was in the kitchen doing dishes while Ed and i were sitting in the backyard enjoying the nice evening.  He went up to the window and stared at her until she saw him.  She screamed and we almost had a dish break, but the look on her face was worth anything that would have shattered!!!  Than she began singing to us.....than Ed went in and joined her singing to me thru the window.....than i went inside because the mosquitoes were out and hungry!!! 

Grilling In December

Today was another gorgeous day.....sooooo, Mr. Hottie grilled dinner for us! We even ate outside! Jasper was a happy camper running around with Bella's chew toy.

Can't build a snowman in the 70's but we can sure build a SANDMAN!!! I have been building one every year for a long time with all our warm beach locations!!!
