Vicki Today

Bella's last meal was 2 packets of Tanks wet food. She inhaled it....it's kinda blurry because she was literally inhaling it!!!

It's Official

It's official! The Dude in Cammies picture is up at his new duty station! No hiding now!!! He obviously hates it!!!  haha

Feed Me

Bella has her surgery tomorrow so all food had to be put up at 5 pm. I gave her 2 packs of Tanks wet food at 4:30 to fill her up. She LOVES his wet food!!! She spent the rest of the night pacing looking for food! Miss Piggy was not happy about the food dishes being gone! Ty dropped one little Cheerio and she dove on that and ate it like it was a giant steak

Meet Chue

This is Chue, The Dude in Cammies practice horse for now.  A chunk of the horses are gone right now on color guard in Texas and than heading to New Orleans before coming back to base, so The Dude in Cammies is practicing with the Trainer on Chue. Chue reminds him of Jasper. I think he looks like Jasper too, even his eyes!  They did some fast riding today and when Ed came back the Trainer told him to get off the horse. Ed asked why.  The Trainer told him he had done perfect and to get off before something went wrong.  So, he got off and took Chue into the stables to brush him and do the rest of the things he does after he finishes up with his daily training.  He really likes being out at the stables and working with the horses......i think i would like to be doing that too..... 

Sleeves Up!!!

Not often we get good news coming down from the Commandant of the Marine Corps these days, but we sure did today! "Sleeves Up" he says, when they switch to their summer uniforms in March! Soooo excited!!! I have missed seeing our Marines with their sleeves rolled! I have missed the Sunday evening grumbles with The Dude in Cammies as we would get his cammies ready for the week, him rolling and often re-rolling and putting them on and having me check to see if they are even. And than the hilarious taking off of the cammies because the sleeves are rolled sooooo tight that he required my help in pulling them off as his arms would begin to go numb! I s'pose he will be having fun (not!!!) doing this in less than 11 days without me helping me! I will Facetime him if he wants while he rolls his sleeves in the next week.....

Wet Bella

Bella HATES getting a bath!!! She totally cracks me up afterwards. She sits in her towel and doesn't move, like she is a statue! It is hilarious! Vicki took some pictures. She just had this frozen face of pure annoyance with us!

Tank the Teaser!

Tank loves to torment one of our neighbors little dogs. He will go over to their front door and just roll back and forth on their walk way like he is saying "Ha ha! Look at me out here!!! This is FREEDOM!!! Look at you stuck INSIDE!!! Etc". Well today when we were driving home Tank was over there teasing their little dog and they were laughing and I stopped the car and was talking to them. One of their boys brought me Tank and now the joke was on him because now HE was IN the car!!! His LEAST favorite place to be!!!!

My Torture Has Been Postponed A Week

I took the boys and one of their friends to the movies tonight. It was supposed to be The Legend of Hercules. Not a movie I was looking forward to seeing, but the boys have been wanting to see it. So I I just prepared myself for lots of eye covering.....the movie opens and it seems vaguely familiar with this scenes if London and a ferris wheel.....so I'm thinking maybe there is still one last preview.....than I realize I've seen this movie before and the boys are leaning over questioning this too as well as other movie goers.....I start to wonder if they put in a wrong movie......I had checked the Internet this afternoon to double check the time and movie so I knew I was right. I pulled out my phone and pulled it up and sure enough, it had changed since this afternoon. So annoying! They could have atleast put a sign right there on the window where I bought the tickets so I could have asked the boys!!!! They decided to watch it again since we already paid and were there. I definitely would rather watch a Jack Ryan movie over Hercules!!!! Sooooo, my torture has been delayed for a week. Hercules now plays next Saturday.

Closet Cat

Tank was meowing while I was on the phone with The Dude in Cammies. I wasn't too worried about Tank because he had just come in the house and I knew he wasn't starving or dying. After I hung up the phone Vicki called out from her room about Tank. Ty and I went in search for him. It wasn't easy because he had stopped meowing!!! We searched EVERYWHERE!!! Finally I checked the hall closet because I had folded some towels and put them away. Sure enough, there he was! Just sitting on the top shelf hanging out! Crazy cat!!!! I never saw him go in there when I put those towels away. He is quite stealth!!!! 

Cleaning Out Kitchen Cabinets

I was cleaning out the kitchen cupboard and found a tooth, a Ryan tooth! It made me laugh remembering when Jasper knocked his tooth out on Valentines Day a few years ago.  That guy seems to get his teeth knocked out before they ever get to just get loose and be wiggled out!

Sick Vix

Vicki was starting to feel icky last night. She woke up this morning feeling horrible!!!! After work I took her to our doctor and sure enough she enough she has strep throat. So, she has her antibiotics and hopefully she will be feeling better soon!!!!

Snow Days To 79*

Last week we were having snow days.....

Now I am in flip flops with the sunroof open and the air conditioner on in the car!!!!

I will definitely take these flip flop days over socks and boots any day!!! Loving me this warm weather!!!  This should be our last cold winter for a little while! Next winter should have us out in the desert.....on a horse with no name.....

Throw Back Thursday

It's a Throw Back Thursday! This is one of my favorite pictures of the boys.  Ty and Ryan were getting tired with all the walking we were doing and so Ed and Jorden each put one up on 

their shoulders so they could rest their tired legs.  The boys were VERY happy to be up high and off of their feetsers!!! This was a fun trip we took to the States from Okinawa back in 2007 and we did a LOT of walking when we were in Michigan seeing many sites all over the upper peninsula of Michigan and in Canada before heading to California.  

Haircuts!!!

I don't have 3 girls anymore....we left early tonight for Scouts and my fake girls got haircuts and are now real boys again!!!

Snow To 79* In One Week!

This brings a giant smile to my face!!!! 79* outside right now!!! It is Wednesday in February and 79*! I have my sunroof open driving home! Last Wednesday we were snowed in! This is just crazy a week lady, but I love it!!!

First Warm Sunny Day!

Finally!!! A warm day!!! Vicki and Bella are enjoying a nice warm sunny day! Vicki sent me this picture of them out on the deck!

Than she sent me this picture of them inside.  She said the sun wore Bella out and she crashed for a nap! I wish i wasn't trapped inside a classroom and could sit outside in the sunshine!!! Soooo done with winter!

Death By Cafeteria Food

Nothing sounded good this morning at 6 am when i was leaving for work......now i am hungry.....and so i am going to attempt to eat something in the school cafeteria where i work.....it tasted horrible! Even after adding ketchup! After 3 bites i just decided to be hungry than possibly die from whatever this attempt at spaghetti was! Hopefully those 3 bites have not started my slow painful death by mystery food of the cafeteria!!!

Vicki: Ok, day one for this 3 day diet....i will have my egg for breakfast, how should i make this egg....it's gonna be a tough 3 days......i need you to buy me a couple of food items at the grocery store Mom.

Me: Ok, after the gym we can stop and pick up whatever you need.

Vicki: Hmmmmm, how should i make my egg......you know what?  Forget this diet! I am already skinny! I don't need to do this 3 day diet! I eat healthy already! I work out all the time! I'm getting ready to go do a Zumba class, after that it's an Abs class, than i am going to go run, and than a Spin class......yep, forget this diet thing i have on my phone!

Me: So, do i still need to buy those grapefruits and saltine crackers? (giggle giggle giggle)

Valentines Day

The Dude in Cammies usually gets me a giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookie every year for Valentines day, but this year he obviously couldn't being almost 3000 miles away! Sooooo, i brought one home and told the kids Dad had bought one for me. They were soooo sad it was for me......but than i told them i was just kidding and that i had bought it for them for Valentines Day and they were all giant smiles!!!!

I am not a live in snow person....but I will try to remain calm as snow heads our way again.....this is the SOUTH!!!! My Mitten Man is not here to save me from the white stuff that is coming.....but I will try to stay calm and hope I don't have to drive anywhere!!!!

No School, Again!

It is 21* and snowing and it is supposed to snow ALL day!!! It is 7:30 am and all of us are home, AGAIN! We got the call last night that the kids school was going to be closed. I went to bed with the 2 hour delay phone call knowing it would be switched to a 'school closed' call by just looking at the weather...sure enough at 6:32 am the phone call came that base schools were closed.....this winter is kicking out butts!!!! I am soooo ready for Spring & Summer!!!! Soooo, another day home and another day that Ty and Ryan are bummed they will have to make up! 

Putin Is In The Audience, All Will Be fine

Does anybody else watch Olympic events and see Putin sitting in the audience and breathe a sigh of relief for the spectators and athletes thinking that there is a pretty good chance that all will be fine for that event?  He is the first person i look for at any event.  If he is there watching than i am pretty confident all will be fine. I think this whole media hype on the black widows was indeed just hype, but for what purpose? Usually a distraction for something else....Sooooo, something is going on in that part of the world and we are bound to see it sooner or later.....but i am not really worried about anything happening at the Olympics. There are probably dead bodies stacked up and piled somewhere, it's Russia. They run things differently than America.....but something is definitely going on over; but just not in Sochi where the media is. The athletes should all be safe for the Olympics even as the media continues to cram down all this hype of bombs and suicide bombers and toothpaste bombs into every feed they can......whatever Putin has in store for us is somewhere else and i am sure Obama will have another speech and Kerry will have some words to share as well and Putin will laugh and do whatever he wants to do. He is still planning on building Mother Russia again, right? But the American people just laughed at Romney when he mentioned that back in 2012.....Putin has been busy since than......but America doesn't pay attention because the leader of this country is too busy wanting the celebrity life instead of a leadership life, but than again, the American people wanted a community organizer for a president not a leader of the free world, we are loosing our freedoms rapidly.....Putin is counting on Obama's continued vision for this country. Soon it will be too late to fix the damage that Obama has done. Our military is just about to the breaking point and if we can't borrow money to fix it once it breaks.....well, Putin has won. Russia and China can fight over who gets us. China will win.....Now, back to watching the Olympics knowing all will be fine for our athletes no matter what all these newscasters want to continually try to tell us.  I think they even actually know all is fine, but for ratings.....if there is the chance the ice arena might blow up or a sniper shoot a snowboarder in the air, well maybe more people will tune in? IDK.....it's just the sick demented society we live in these days....but something is brewing in Russia. I can see it on Putin's smug face.....

Cat In The Box

We received some Valentine treats in the mail today. Tank decided the box was his and climbed in and took a nap. We found him sound asleep purrrrrring. 

Bella And Her Tennis Ball

Bella was just loving Jasper's tennis ball tonight while we were watching the Olympics!!!  She was just growling and chewing away on it!!! He eventually took it away from her....

Cones To Antibiotics

Jasper went out to play in the snow about a week ago when the snow had turned to ice.... 

When he came in he was bleeding and i thought he had cut it either on the ice or on some branches under the snow......

A week later it had gotten worse.....even with me cleaning it a few times a day with antibacerial soap and putting neosporn on it......soooooo, i took him to the vet.....

He takes pictures in the car like his Master.....no smiles and doesn't like to look at the camera....

He was 93.2 pounds and did great for the vet......turns out he has a bacterial infection.....the vet put a topical ointment on it, 3 topical ointments on it!!!!

There was a stare down when we arrived home.....it was a tie!

Jasper is on a heavy dose of antibiotics and he takes them VERY well!!!  Which is amazing for him because he is a TERRIBLE pill taker!!!!

And he has been fitted for a cone, but he ONLY has to wear it when he doesn't behave! He is behaving VERY well!!!!!
